Feature rich and easy to use.

Let me start with my one complaint. It is the fact it uses micro USB instead of USB C for charging. Definitely not a deal breaker! When riding in the back country, it's been great having a reliable radio for communication. I use a Cardo for conversation while riding, but the range on a Cardo is a fraction of the range of a BCA in the same conditions. This is used as my backup communicator and it hasn't let me down!I can easily get 3 rides out of a single charge, maybe more. The quick channel set function is nice for the different groups I ride with. It would be nice if it shipped with frog skinz on the mic but I've never had an issue and I've gone head firsts into plenty of snow wells. I'd definitely recommend it to friends.

Simple to use

Used for arena uprigging. Clear communication. Easily and quickly switch between preset channels with a wheel. Durable build. As close to pro radio without needing a fcc license.

Very nice for what i need

This is a pretty handy walkie talkie setup. I love remote attachment moving all unit features to the remote. the belt clip on the remote and the unit are very sturdy and strong and made of metal. I love the remote clip can be rotated 360 degrees to get any angle i want. I have it put in a camel back and attached through the loops to the front of the pack strap. it keeps right on my shoulder. Performs way better than a basic walkie talkie and remote Motorola set up i had previously (lower end .5 watt)

clear

I must write a review because you could get half a dozen Talkabouts for the price of just one of these. But Talkabouts and Midlands are not clear. Headsets and remote mics make them even worse. And I have tried many. In a large ski group last week, most of us have Talkabouts. A few have remote mics. A friend and I each got a BCA2. Both sending and receiving were much clearer. The range seemed better too. But I'm not sure. My guess is it's about the same. To me, the clarity makes the expense worth it. I think the clarity is due to the mic's connection to the base. It not like some old audio connector.

Good buy

Snowmobiling. Good buy. The company will hopefully get the charging ports to feel more durable. But until then, this is a pretty good setup.

Idiot Proof Radio

This is the standard for backcountry riding. Uses an older Micro USB charger port, the battery is not swappable. Its an expensive two-way with a fancy handset. I can hand the spare to anyone and they will be able to use it no issue. Learn to program a Baofeng you can get like 4-5 for the same price.
