Replacing all of my hemp string with this tensile load excellence.
SOOOOO tired of tying a knot with the natural based hemp stuff that I tried to like for years. I finally bought this again and just shake my head about getting suckered into the whole "it's good for the environment" thing. Anyway.... I stake up tons of plants and this waxed string locks onto the stakes and doesn't slide. It also ties exceptionally well and doesn't break until you MAKE it break.... and frankly, good luck with that. You'll need to cut it. I love it.Only seeming downside is the cost. Hemp stuff was about $8... this is $30... and yes... same amounts. This wax stuff will last in place for years... hemp stuff needs to come down each season and be replaced.

What I expected
Works as expected. Has a wax coating that helps keep the knots tight.

Works!
I used this to tie a bamboo fence. It seemed too thin at first, but this stuff really is strong. The waxing made it easy.Warning! Don't leave the box out in the hot sun while you go for lunch! It got a bit too sticky. However it didn't stay that way once it cooled down a bit. Also, gloves really help if you have to pull it extra tight. When I yanked a badly tied knot with pliers, it did break.Next time I may double it so the ties show up better, but the stuff really is strong.

Seems like high quality, but dirty.
I bought this twine for a wind chime repair. Seems like it will be strong and slightly larger than old stuff. I would have gave it 5 stars if was not so dirty to work with. I have never used wax twine and maybe they are all this way.

Great Product
I used some ~ ¼" thick, ~5" wide polyester garden edging to form a raised border around my square tomato plant cages. Past years' experience has shown that the corners need to be bound to keep the soil inside with the tomato plants. I bought this spool of Waxed 100% Polyester Black Twine/Cord to bind the corners. I also used it to join the ends of a single strip of the same garden edging to make a raised border around my round tomato plant cages. I used this waxed polyester twine with an upholstery needle to securely lace and bind the garden edging pieces leaving NO gaps between the pieces. YAY!!I have tried using galvanized wire to to bind these corners/ends. The wire is difficult to work with, is bulky, and leaves sharp ends that make it dangerous in the garden.

Everyone Needs this Twine!
I had a roll of similar twine 40 years ago and have used it for so many applications. After so many years of multiple uses, I ran out and bought this twine. It's as great as the roll I had years ago! It's super useful and durable... and being waxed, it knots easily. I tie Christmas bows onto my big plant pots with this twine. I just tied up the 4th of july buntings on my patio railing with the twine. I hang things in the trees in my backyard with the twine. Truly, once you have twine like this, you'll find 101 uses for it! Great for household use, crafting, decorating, and more!
