Not feedback from client about pixma brother mcf-9120cn yet. The MCF-9120cn have scan function, the print server is not support scanning. Thanks.

It Canon Pixma MG3500 series MP, not support Canon PIXMA iP1188. Not feedback from client about pixma ip1500 yet. You can have a try. If it is not support. We support return and refund. Thanks.

Q: Can this be used for more than printers? A usb extension of sorts?

It is not suggested to use as a USB extension of sorts. Because the print server system is designed to replace printer host, it helps multiple computers in the same office/home network to share the printer. Very helpful for small business users to reduce the purchase of more printers. See this video on how to set up it to support Thermal Label Printer DYMO LabelWriter 550/450.

Q: Can I use this on a Otur Laser?

No, because your Otur Laser must have its protocol. This device is design for printer, not support laser.
