Does what it says on the tin
This is essentially just truth or dare with specific promt cards and a cute little mine turtle. The artwork, turtle, and its sound effects are all very nostalgic for an old asdf movie fan. I had no idea there were asdf movie board games, but it is official and high quality. The turtle works well but unfortunately operates on 2 AAAs (please manufacturers stop using these) which are not included. The box is nice and sturdy and it's a nice easy game to pick up and play any time with anybody with no learning curve at all.

Fun twist on a classic game of truth or dare
The game itself is just a twist on truth or dare ultimately with the premise being that you are trying to get people to press the button rather than take the dare, and the dares are intended to be very silly for anyone that does take them. For me this is something that I will play mostly as a game with mates over a couple of bevvies as people become more daring in that situation usually, and of course haalarity ensues.Turnarounds are quick on this game so youll be able to get rounds in pretty quick, but its not something that you can play for hours and hours, but its a bit of a laugh if not the best game out there. Its a fun twist though on on a classic.Did not include batteries.

Great fun
I ordered this as I'm always looking for fun things to do with family and friends. The game comes in a very brightly coloured premium feeling cardboard box. The quality of the cards and turtle are very nice too.We found that it's a game best played with family or close friends. Although it might be a nice ice breaker with strangers too. However it does help to know how far you can push someone before they give up and press the button. If you tend to be quite self conscience, like myself, you might find alcohol helps a lot too as it can all get a bit embarrassing. Great fun though and lots of laughs to be had. Recommended.

Fun, playful game although some of the cards are a bit cringe
Mine Turtle: An Explosive Truth or Dare Party Game is great if you're in the mood for silly, light-hearted fun. It’s a creative twist on the classic truth or dare, with the added suspense of a cute, talking turtle that 'explodes' at random after a set number of button presses. The game is easy to set up and play, making it perfect for family game nights, parties, or even as a fun drinking game with friends. The box includes over 100 mission cards, a plastic mine turtle, a sticker, and simple instructions. You will need 2x AAA batteries and a small cross-head screwdriver to get started, as these aren’t included, so it’s worth having them on hand when you buy the game. Once the batteries are in, you switch on the turtle, and you’re ready to play.Gameplay is straightforward: each player holds three mission cards and, on their turn, chooses another player to complete a truth, dare, or challenge. If the player refuses or fails to complete the task, they must press the turtle's button the number of times indicated on the card. However, if they succeed, the challenger is the one who has to press the button. Eventually, the turtle will 'explode' with a sound effect and some light vibrations, eliminating one player. The game continues until there is a final winner so it's relatively quick. The missions range from light-hearted and silly to more daring and cringe-worthy. Some cards are clearly aimed at a younger, outgoing crowd, with challenges that occasionally reference social media or involve physical contact. Fortunately, you can remove or reword any cards that don’t suit your group, making it adaptable for different audiences. For families, it’s easy to tweak the more grown-up or awkward prompts to fit younger players, and there are even three blank cards included so you can create your own missions. The turtle itself is a fun addition, adding tension and excitement as players nervously press the button, wondering who will be the unlucky one to trigger the explosion. While the explosion sound is more amusing than alarming, it still adds a playful sense of jeopardy to the game. The turtle resets easily if you want to keep playing, and the whole experience moves at a fast pace, ensuring it never drags on. This game works best with teenagers or playful adults who don’t take themselves too seriously. It’s a fantastic way to get people off their screens and engaging with each other, and it consistently delivers laughs and memorable moments. While the need for batteries and a screwdriver can be a minor inconvenience, the fun factor more than makes up for it.

Brilliant game for teens and adults
I ordered this game primarily for my children to play (aged 12 and 16) and they tested it out with a 14 year-old friend. They played round after round and were having so much fun that I just had to join in!It is really easy to play - you hold three cards in your hand and give one of them to any other player. If they do the dare, you have to press the turtle the corresponding number of times as shown on the card. If they choose not to do the challenge, action or truth then they have to press the turtle.I particularly enjoyed drawing a moustache on my 16 year-old son with a biro!!Whether someone loses got totally lost in the fun of playing. We just started another round again immediately with fresh cards. It really is about the playing here and not the winning and losing. It’s so much fun, my 16 year-old wants to take it away with him on a school trip. Definitely recommended.

Very hit and miss
Oh boy. Many games are context dependent - as in, it matters who you play it with. This game is perhaps toxically context dependent. The right group and you're going to have quite a lot of fun. The wrong group, which I suspect will be 95% of the people you play it with, will simply shut down. Great if you have a lot of extroverts and people who don't mind physical labour in their games. Maybe the rest of you (us) should hand it off to the younger kids and then pretend to be asleep.

Good for laughs
Probably be classed as silly but def a daft family fun game that doesn’t drag on . Comes with a pack of 100 cards & a cute sturdy turtle ( requires 2 batteries ) neatly packed in a small sturdy box .Each player takes in turn choose a card & then do a simple truth or dare with the object being not to be the one that blows the mine turtle .It’s a game that’s just for laughter rather than any skills so for that I like this game .
