Left Side Inguinal Groin Hernia Truss with Compression Pad White - Medium

Bought this for my husband. He owns a bread sales route (lots of heavy lifting) and just can't take time off for surgery right now. He had been having a lot of swelling and pain, so I bought this hoping it would help. I am a nurse, he rarely listens to me or follows my suggestions, lol, and my husband never likes anything!!! I can tell you he is super happy with this product. I am shocked! He feels no discomfort at all if he wears it. He is miserable if he doesn't. Our goal was to keep him from needing surgery soon. It works so well that I just bought another one today so he doesn't have to wash it as much. He says it was awkward and annoying at first when he had to use the restroom because of the strap to help keep it in place, but he has gotten over that since he feels so much better. It comes with a pad that you have to place over the hernia to help hold it in place. If you are suffering and can't have a surgery right now, this is the product for you. It was true to size, so he wears medium underwear, and the medium belts fits perfect. Good luck!

One week ago I discovered a bulge and experienced pain on the left side of my groin after exercising. Went to the Dr 2 days later and it was confirmed. I have a inguinal hernia. I am schedule to have it repaired in 3 1/2 weeks. This was not good for an old guy (70) who is trying to stay fit and healthy with a simple 30 minute elliptical routine everyday. I am not bummed out about the surgery but I was about missing my daily ritual for the next 5-7 weeks I just received the FlexaMed Left Side Inguinal/Groin Hernia Truss about 2 hours ago and I immediately got on my elliptical and did my usual 30 minute routine. SUCCESS!!! no bulge, no pain. Again, I've had this for less then a full day and who knows how I'll feel after using it for a week or two but for now it's well worth the $. I'll update this post if things change so if don't see an update I am 100% satisfied.

Provides adequate support to allow me to do my daily activities. I can even exercise at the gym, including skipping rope and trotting on treadmill. That said, there are a couple of things I don't like.The method of adjusting the strap is a bit awkward, so I don't get the level of precision I want. Sometimes I have more support and can cough without feeling anything, other times there's some jarring sensation when coughing (but it's bearable and still much better than without the belt).Also, the pad can shift around some in its pocket, so enough pressure may not always be applied to the spot you want. I may be experiencing the shifting because I move around a lot and, as I said above, I wear the belt to exercise.Note that my issues with fit may be because I'm at the lower end of the medium size range covered. My hip circumference is 36" while the range is 34"-40". Perhaps a larger person would find the fit more snug and feel better in it.Overall it's a good belt. I just prefer a different design, specifically the type that uses egg-shaped pads that attach with velcro. I find that the egg pads stay fixed in position and apply more pressure to the hernia. Some people like that; others complain that the egg pads are hard and they think it's too much pressure. If that second group sounds like you, then you may be happier with the FlexaMed.

A video review? Probably not, not even a still. Words will have to suffice. Just let me say that my FlexaMed Left Side Inguinal Hernia Truss will make life livable until I undergo surgery. No, I'm not enjoying my two-hour per day bike ride, but wearing the truss, I can do practically everything else, from mowing the lawn to hauling in groceries. Just the other day I remarked to my father-in-law that the twenty-five dollars plus shipping was the best money I have ever spent. Whether your injury is left-sided or right, you might consider buying two rather than one. Why? First, you'll probably earn free shipping, and, second, you'll have one to wear while the other is out on the line drying. Like any undergarment, you'll want to launder your truss occasionally. Mine came out the wash with no ill effect whatsoever.Oh, I forgot to mention that my order arrived much faster than I expected, and I suspect that the small and growing company that produces it will stand by its product. Why? Because the president/ owner emailed me to thank me for a positive review I had posted elsewhere. I should be thanking him.A hernia is no fun, but it can be managed. For me, this item works and works well.

This product does the job of relieving inguinal discomfort, as long as you choose the right size. I was borderline between large and extra large, but decided to choose XL. MISTAKE. Should have gone with the Large. I should have replaced it but used it for over a week and feel that a product of this nature should be disposed of and not returned. My recommendation for those that are unsure is to buy both sizes at moment of purchase and keep the one that fit properly. In summary, I would have given it five stars had i chosen the proper size.

I was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia on March 9, but surgery wasn't scheduled until April 29. I needed to find something so I could function at a normal level until the day of surgery. I reviewed a number of trusses on Amazon and read the customer testimonials. This product was highly rated and now I know why. I used the truss while pruning trees, operating a pressure washer and going to baseball practice. I was cautious, but I was able to function at about 95% while using the truss. I also wore it when driving long distances as sitting for long periods of time really aggravated the hernia. I would highly recommend this product.
