Amazing quality for a toddler’s sandbox!
Great sand for the toddler’s sandbox. Was very fine and soft. I love this stuff. Even I’m having a blast playing in the sandbox with my kiddo. The price was great too and I believe I needed 2 bags to fill up the size sandbox I bought for a toddler. Didn’t see any coarse rocks or clumps or anything.Would absolutely order this again!!!

Not Safe for Kids & Looked Tampered With
I ordered this sand specifically for my kids’ sandbox, and it was a total disaster from the moment it arrived. The package was already damaged — sand was spilling everywhere like someone had opened it and tried to tape it back up. It looked used and poorly repackaged. It was supposed to be safe for children, but this looked more like construction filler than anything meant for a play area. Huge waste of money and a big mess to clean up. I don’t recommend this to anyone, especially if you’re buying it for kids.

Confusing descriptions (safe or dangerous?), but received clarification from the source
The order arrived quickly; the cost seemed fair. But at first I thought there was a big problem: although the bag says the sand is safe for kids, there is a scary danger warning on the back of the bag (just below where it says it's safe) that there is a cancer threat from ingesting or even breathing the sand. I am attaching a photo which shows this. If this danger is real, the sand is unusable to me; if the danger is NOT real, why does the warning exist?I got a response from Gulf Coast sand, and it completely satisfied me that the sand was safe. It is only potentially dangerous if used in certain ways that have nothing to do with its use as play sand and has to be labeled with the warning in California (not in other places). I am confident now that I can use this sand without it being harmful to anyone.
