Worked for a few months but already stopped charging. Update: Company really stood by the product and sent an updated version

Update 2: The company reached out and replaced the cable which has been working flawlessly ever since. Back up to five stars!Update: I purchased this in May, and in December it simply does not work. Everything else that is plugged into the laptop works just fine. If I do a direct charge through the USB-C port, it's fine. But for some reason, this won't charge anymore. Because it worked OK for seven months, I'm going to downgrade it to a three star, although at this point I'm ready to downgrade it to just one star, Tbh.My only complaint with this charger is that the base is so large I can't fit anything in the USBC slot next to it! I have an M2 MacBook Air (the only laptop I've ever loved), and I purchased right-angle charger that's perfect, except that for an assignment I was working on, all of the cables had to be plugged into an outlet on the left side. That mean I had to essentially wrap the cable around my MacBook in order to keep the computer charged.I purchased this one because of the ratings. If it's the only thing plugged in, it's perfect. I had to do a little macgyvering (OGs will know) to ensure my drives were connected without bumping the side of the charger, but I got it to work. In fact, I'm typing on the computer now with this item charging it!If you don't have a weird situation like mine, this cable will be perfect for most users. And yes, I recommend it!

I bought this LISEN USB‑C to Magnetic 3 cable hoping for a reliable 140 W MagSafe‑style charger for my new M4 MacBook Air. Instead, it’s been nothing but frustration:**• Flaky magnetic connection** – The magnet is weak; even the slightest bump breaks the charge, and my MacBook throws the “Not Charging” warning all the time.**• Nowhere near 140 W** – With Apple’s 140 W power brick the cable maxes out around 60 W (confirmed in macOS System Settings). That means painfully slow charging and a hot laptop if you’re working while plugged in.**• Runs hot** – After ten minutes the connector gets so warm I worry about long‑term damage to the port.**• Questionable build quality** – The braided jacket looks nice, but the plastic strain relief is already separating after just two weeks of normal desk use.**• No customer support** – E‑mailed LISEN twice, zero response.In short, this cable over‑promises and under‑delivers. Spend a little more on an official Apple cable or a reputable third‑party brand—you’ll save yourself a lot of headaches.

I bought this LISEN USB-C to Magnetic 3 Cable for my 13" MacBook Pro, and it has been a reliable addition. The 6.6FT length is perfect for more flexible use, and the magnetic connection feels secure, making it easy to connect and disconnect without worrying about accidental drops. The 140W power capacity ensures fast, efficient charging, which is great for my daily workflow.However, the magnetic connection, while strong, can be a bit sensitive to slight movements, which occasionally interrupts charging if I’m using it on the go. It was great! And then I lost it on a plane. It was the only one I found that actually worked. I had it for two weeks and no issues.

I own two of these and they work great on a 16" Mac Book Pro 2025. As far as the magnet goes all I can say is on a clean desk it will slide the MacBook before it comes off and that's a 16 incher so you know how heavy they are. It's not going to just fall off. I loved the first one and that's what prompted me to get the second one. I like to keep a charger in my home office, garage, and one at work without having to pull the original out of my bag.

UPDATE: Company reached out after posting my review and offered a free replacement - which I received (a different type of charing cable which works as advertised). Customer service was outstanding, professional, and fast.This charging cable does not work at all - won't charge my macbook air. Complete wast of money, unfortunately, found out too late for a return.
