The Original Brink House Baroque Bone Mix & Match Stainless Steel Cutlery Set with Assorted Handles / 16 pieces with Metal Stand/Lifestyle utensils set for home, first apartment, dorm, fine dining

Two years after putting my husband in memory care, I decided to change my diningware. I love this bright and well-made set. It's cheerful, practical and has set me on a new course.

NOTE: I purchased two sets of these utensils in different styles and have posted the same review for both of them. Just FYI.I purchased this set, as well as Gypsy Color Mix and Match Lifestyle Cutlery and Eating Utensils Gift Set of 16 pieces, Colorful Flatware Set Multicolor Eclectic Collection and am extremely pleased with both sets. I have been using them daily for three months and all of the utensils are intact and in perfect shape.These utensils are made of a stainless steel portion (the knife blade, the fork tines, and the spoons) inserted into a plastic handle. The connecting bits of these utensils that secure the stainless steel portion to the plastic portion are made of a metallic plastic. The designs on the plastic handles are possibly screen printed, but I'm not sure. The utensils themselves are very lightweight as most of the handles are hollow. Because these are mixed sets, some of the handles are solid and are therefore a bit heavier.As far as durability goes - because the entire utensil is not a solid piece of metal they are not as strong as traditional pieces of silverware. For instance, I wouldn't recommend cutting a steak with these knives. If you use them with food that has heft to it, you can feel the stainless steel portion flex and if you force it, I could see the entire thing breaking apart. However, for everyday use I have had no issues - cutting a sandwich, spreading peanut butter, etc.I should point out that I do not have a dishwasher and I wash these utensils by hand. I would think that washing them in a dishwasher with the higher level of heat could be a problem, but I have no way of testing that. As it is, my sets look as perfect as the day I unpacked them. None of the designs are chipped or scratched and the metal portions are clean and unmarked.Overall, these are really fun and unique pieces and I like them quite a bit. Highly recommended!

Pretty, but one spoon melted in a hot cup of tea, the handle bent. And a lot of the heads are wobbly and coming loose. This set is not going to last a long time. Comes with a little rack you can put on counter or in cabinet. The paint is also coming off kinda sad.

I bought this set for my grandchildren to use when they are at my house. They love picking out which design to use. The really are adorable. They seem sturdy, and are a good weight and size. Since I'm not using them every day, they will last a long time.

Very colorful and bright! Love this flatware. It's nice to have something different!

The media could not be loaded. Update 7/28/24After using these for five months, I would definitely never purchase again or recommend. Half of the silverware has become loose where it connects to the handles. These are used by adults only and are well taken care of. I hand wash and dry them. They still look pretty but functionally they wobble back and forth. I’m very disappointed. So I’ve downgraded my three stars to one star because they still look good.These were just what I was looking for to replace my clear-acrylic-handle silverware that I used for 28 years. My only issue with them was the silver collar had worn off between the head and handle. So I expected at least a similar quality out of these new ones. But as the video shows the heads are loosening in the handles. I’m very disappointed since these haven’t even been in use for a month and then not much because we’ve been gone for several weeks. The quality of materials appears to be solid but the assembly isn’t sturdy as it should be for that reason I’m giving these three stars.

So I bought this cutlery set. I absolutely love them. They’re easy to hold. I love the colors. I I guess was not aware that it came in that cute little holder which I love. Probably will eventually buy more pieces. Very happy with this purchase.

Fell apart quickly and the ones that haven’t have faded with wash to be almost plain.
