Superb Price - Value Ratio and Fun Drone
The media could not be loaded. I've tried a couple DJI and they are good but honestly for beginners or even someone who just does this for fun, this is the perfect Drone. It it's not expensive, flies really smooth, has great video quality and speed. I know everyone thinks DJI is the best and I'm no conosseur but if you ask me: between crashing a 400+ drone to less than 300 one which virtually no video quality difference, I'd definitely choose this one every time. Make sure to get the Asurion warranty since it's pretty good (have used it twice and customer service is amazing). I can't speak for higher quality drones or the DJI's above this one, but the fly more combo for this drone is definitely worth the investment. The batteries do last between 20 and 30 mins depending on which on the 3 modes you use (and obviously consume battery charge faster on sport mode but it's a lot of fun) and they take a couple hours tops to be full charge. Drone is very sturdy and can withstand lvl 5 winds and several crashes b4 breaking (but buy the propeller protection kit if it's your first tike using a drone). It weights less than 250 grams so no need for remote ID and the control is very easy to deal with (both phone app and controls) and practical for moving the camera. Until they fix glitches on Atom 2x this is your go to for sure and also remember to register it on the FAA site since you need to do it even for recreational purposes (and pass the TRUST course) because you need both if a police officer asks for permit or something. I'm not a pro but the attached video was on sport mode: drone had great response, was easy to maneuver and could go faster but again, not an expert yet. The only con I would is that it can't do acrobatic stunts but it does have several stunts for video and photo (like boomerang, rocket, etc) as well as "follow me" feature which DJI same segment does not have.

Update - Very happy!
Purchased the Atom 3 axis gimble fly more kit in February 2024.I have only put maybe 2 hours of flight time on this Drone as I have been busy with outdoor projects. Today I had some free time and thought I would get some Drone time in. When I powered on the Drone and entered the Potensic app, there was a Firmware update notice to version 3.4.5. I decided to go ahead with the update since I had a fully charged Batteries and Controller. After the update I noticed my Gimble would not stay in the neutral position and would drift all the way up on its own. So I powered everything off, exited the App and tried again with same issue. I tried calibrating the Gimble but it did not fix the issue. Tried calibrating the remote control and was not able to complete the process because the Gimble control did not respond correctly.Powered off everything again, this time I could complete the remote control calibration but the Gimble still would pan up all the way and would not hold the position set.Ok, I give up and try contacting Potensic support, we will see how good the Customer service is at Potensic.Everything else works like it should, just the Gimble issue. This a deal breaker for me because I bought this for the great reviews and image quality at the priceI really hope Potensic will stand behind their product. I will update this review when/if I get a response from Potensic. After working with Potensic I decided this drone may be defective and returned it for a refund and went back to the drawing board to research another sub 249g Drone to purchase.UPDATE - Potensic reached out to me and offered to send me a new drone Kit with single battery to give the Potensic another try. Sure glad theyHorizoe received the new drone today 7/24/2024 and immediately started charging the Battery and Remote control. After a full charge I went thru and loaded the Potensic app, calibrated everything and went out to do some test flying. WOW! The Camera Gimble worked flawlessly, it did not move up or down by itself and the Horizon was dead flat. The video looked great, smooth and seemless. Battery life is very good and charges quickly. I went thru all the preconfigured quick shots, tried the GPS mapping, RTH feature, shot video at 4K 30fps, took pictures and I have to say this Drone really performs extremely well for the price paid.I am extremely glad Potensic reached out to me and asked me to give them another chance. So in conclusion, I would like to give a much deserved shout out to Potensic customer service for making EVERY EFFORT to add another happy customer to the ever expanding number of people who are flying Potensic Atom Drones, and thank you for not giving up on me!I would recommend this Atom Drone to family and friends and to anyone who is looking for a really fun quality Drone to fly!

First drone, one week in, amazing little device
This is the first drone I've ever owned. I haven't even ever bought a Walmart $50 one. Literally this is my first one... So here goes.I watched about an hour long review prior to running the drone so I was well equipped going in. That said, I still flew it into a tree within five minutes of trying it because I was trying to rotate the drone... and flew it to the left instead. Since then though, I haven't had much of a hitch.Pros:- Easy to setup, fly, take video and still shots, etc. Awesome device.- The lost signal return, and low battery return, are very important and work great. The device even lets you pick the height that it should fly to before it begins to return home...cool!- Camera on the SD card is stellar, while your flying it's hard to tell how good while you watch on your device, but when it's uploaded to the CPU it's pretty amazing.- The app is very handy. It's gives you tips while you learn and even after. It's perfect for keeping you well informed where you learn and fly the device...- I have been sooooooo impressed with the battery life.... I can easily fly for an hour and a half or so, and then by the time that's over, I could have recharged the first two batteries in my house....and keep on going. The app tells you how much better power is left in a percentage, and also in number of minutes and seconds...so cool. Full disclosure, I did pay the100 bucks for the extra batteries fly more edition.Cons:- WiFi and power lines definitely affect the signal between the drone and controller... something to be aware of for sure.... I found out the hard way and upset my neighbor when it hovered over his house for 5 minutes while I figured this out😭. I'm sure thiss is the same for all drones btw🤷♂️.- It's made in china.... I wish we had good American companies that made good drones. Oh well
