GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
INITIAL REVIEW:I think the idea behind this product is good and the materials seem to be of good quality. My problem is that, of course, when I unpacked the parts to assemble them there were some missing pieces. I think the "foam pads" that are supposed to prevent scratching the tank of the toilet could be of better quality but all else looks fine. I just wish I had gotten all four C-shaped clasps. I only received 2 and that seriously compromises the unit's stability. My husband had surgery on both feet and needs to be able to lean on the rails without worrying about any wobble or potential instability from having only 2 of the 4 clamps. Very disappointed.ADDENDUM: I reached out to the company using the information provided on the back of the user's manual and received a prompt and courteous reply promising to send a full complement of the missing C-shaped clasps. A few days later they arrived in the mail. Problem solved. The rails are not very solid (no wobble).SUGGESTION: The unit comes with styrofoam sleeves to protect the toilet tank from scratches but I worried they were not sufficient and might not last long because they are fairly thin and insubstantial. I opted to use a "swimming noodle" (which are thicker, more substantial, and provide good padding) - I used a box knife and slit the noodle open on one side and slipped it around the back bars of the unit and feel that this is a quick, easy, and very inexpensive way to protect your toilet tank from any potential scratching.FINAL COMMENTS: This unit provides great stability and peace of mind now. Thank you! I am changing my initial one star review to a 5 star review.

Reserved replaced with Impressed.
I had faltered after reading most of the 1 star reviews. But, in ordering and easily putting together this more than very firm safety rail, I found it surprisingly solid and usable for my aging wife. If there is a negative, it would be that yes, if "much weight" is put on one side 'only', it could tip. But, I’ve watched (and tried myself), and with her small frame, I doubt there will be any tipping. For us, the option of a 5" riser attached to the top of the toilet is not an option for my 5’ wife unless I were to built a step to the toilet; (no!). For those well over her short 110 lb frame, a ‘high rise’ may work fine. -- Now, as to the suction cups, no, they give no gain on our tile floor. Sure, the tubed rubber feet slip a might but it has been minimal. -- As to the sponge pads for the back rail, they are overly cheap and useless and I can't see anyone really using them; an insult to the solid frame. Their form and elasticity is a shame; 1 out of a best of 10. I will be purchasing a peace of 3/4 in. x 6 ft. Foam Semi-Slit Pipe Insulation to rather use from HD ($2.11). -- And no, the very 'solid' fitting adjustable back rail bars fit not behind the toilet seat on our toilet as they may for many. -- So, I unfeelingly give it all a 5 star because as in 'our' case, I'm more than impressed with how solid and usable the unit is. -- As to tipping, if side mount refillable water containers were to hang under the rail bar on each side, any sliding and or tipping very likely would be alleviated for taller and or heavier individuals. As for me, I even like using it "as is" for my ‘comfort’ and I need it not. To my surprise, I’d say, anyone heading into their 70’s or 80’s should have one! To the 90 year old, use both hands on the side rails to set down, or get up. For most that would be simple.

The product delivered more than I expected.
I have a small "L" shaped half bathroom down stairs. I just put mine up in the bathroom. I have a hight extender on my toilet while recovering from hip surgery. It even works with that installed. To get up from my toilet, I had to have one hand on the corner wall and one hand on the doorknob. Not anymore. I got up faster and easier than ever.I am so glad that I bought one. I may even put one upstairs in the master bathroom.

Easy to put together but not completely stable
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose this product because Amazon recommended it and it had high marks. I have rated it with 4 stars. It was easy to put together and it fit around our toilet. I find it to be not quite as sturdy as I would like. I think for the average senior citizen it is sturdy enough. However, it someone is ill or weak it might not be sturdy enough. Ours shakes and wobbles a little but not so much that it is unusable. If I could choose again after having tried this one I would probably look for one that is more heavy duty.

Utilitarian but Necessary
Sturdy and safe!!! The perfect appliance for a knee replacement patient. The suction cup feet adds a level of security as the frame does not move or shift, so the patient does not feel in danger of falling. And it folds away for travel or after the rehab for the surgery. No attaching to the toilet! A great investment.

Worth every penny.
Purchased for my 90 y/o grandfather. His strength isn't what it used to be, but he still insists on doing things on his own. This has been a godsend for us, as he is able to maintain his independence while also strengthening his arms in the process. The suction cups seem to have trouble clinging to the floor, but that's probably more an issue with our tiling. I can always change them back to the original rubber stoppers they came with. Even without the suction it does a fair job of staying in place. The quality of the product is superb, and seems to be build to last. It's adjustable functions allow it to fit in our tiny bathroom with ease.

Great product
I am so very glad I purchased this bathroom aide, it has been a godsend for me. It helps to get up from the toilet without struggling and is strong and secure. I could not be without it now. It is really well made and the width and height are completely adjustable and easy to adapt to individual needs. I highly recommend this product.

height is adjustable, used the suction feet but its not like its bolted to the floor.
Wife is very happy with this after hip replacement surgery. The PT that comes to our home also liked it. Well made and not hard to put together. I recommend it.
