Worked perfectly right out of the box
Works perfectly! Used it to record the radiation levels of my cat after radioactive iodine treatment.

Great Value
Great basic Geiger counter. Only change I would make is for counting mode of come-up when external power is applied, not the charging progress. I like to have various meters in my car and don't like turning them on everytime. If you see one of the $10 cheap import meters, just bite the bullet and get this instead.

CPM adjusts slowly
4 stars because it takes a long time for the CPM to go up. Wish it was more instantaneous.

Works is Compact and easy to use. Fun
I got this because I always wanted a geiger counter, for no specific reason. It really works well it's rechargeable it's compact and you can read different settings from it. I took it to the dentist and it didn't really register any radiation. When the dental Tech pointed the little x-ray gun at it it went a little nuts.

Top notch instrument.
This is awesome product. Works exactly as it should. Precise and reliable. German products are still top notch. I would buy it again.

Good Geiger counter.
The media could not be loaded. It works pretty good! It does not detect alpha radiation as shown. On uranium glass it does take a while for the CPM to go up. On more radioactive stuff like old fiestaware it does it pretty quickly. If you take the back off it will show even more shown in the video. I don't recommend doing it though if you don't know what you are doing! The tube is fragile and so if you take the back cover off, you have to be super careful!
