Wire mesh rollers
Just the right size for me. Not velcro, which is rough on my hair. Not brush rollers--don't like the picky feeling on my scalp.

These need the pic to hold in place.
I thought these were the brush kind of rollers and I sent them back, but I wish I kept them. I have used brush rollers a long time ago so I thought that’s what I needed. Since my hair is colored and getting long, this roller would not require me to pull and tug to remove it, probably breaking off some of my hair. I may consider re ordering and replacing the brush rollers.

Not strong enough
I had high hopes for those 1 3/4 diameter rollers, but the wire was not strong enough. I am quite skilled at using these types of rollers, but it was a disappointment with these. The wire kept stretching as I was trying to roll the hair, took multiple tries costing me too much time. They also kept sliding off the hair when under the dryer. Naturally, my roller set came out poorly. Midway I ended up switching to the hard rollers.

The 1960s All Over Again ... here's how to get a Grip ...
Velcro rollers have gotton too grippy so I went back to these wire rollers. When I used these types of rollers in the 1960s I took the brushes out because I didn't like the feeling of needles polking my head ... especially when I would sleep in them. But ... when you take the brushes out they won't grip your hair and things get a littly slippery. Here's an easy fix. Cover each curler with two tissues. Put two aligned tissues on a flat surface. Center the roller and roll it up. Tuck in the ends to where they lay flat on the inside of the roller. Personally, I find the long metal clips to hold the best. You can roll you hair while wet, but I like to let it partially dry. The tissues will hold up for a long time before needing to be replaced. And, the nice thing is that you can spritz your hair with hairspray and it won't gunk up the curlers. One curler I'll never go back to are the used Orange Juice Cans. Duing the Hippi movement my hair was waist length ... and no one made large rollers. Back then Orange Juice Cans were really hard and made good rollers. Harder to sleep in though. So ... glad they still have these wire rollers. Just wish they had more sizes..

Not what I thought it was
I typed in that I was looking for large brush rollers and these showed up, looked perfect. I ordered them, they arrived quickly and sadly they are not brush rollers, just mesh. They fall right out of my super fine hair. Sad.

Great for long hair
These are durable, easy to use and can be kept in place with a clip, bobby-pin, or pick. They are light and can be used in little girls ponytails. The only con is they don’t come with bristles so much harder to use in shorter hair.

Perfect rollers for me
Ordered the jumbo wire mesh hair rollers and they are just what I was looking for. I don't care for the plastic or "adhesive" style. These rollers stay better in my hair and I have more control, wrapping my hair around them. They are large but not huge, good for medium or longer length hair. Happy with purchase.
