Klein Tools 55600 Work Cooler, 17-Quart Lunch Box Holds 18 Cans, Keeps Cool 30 Hours, Seats 300 Lb, Tradesman Pro Tough Box

After researching various coolers, I decided to get this one made by Klein. This cooler has pretty much all the features I want. Namely I wanted a cooler with 1) good ice retention, 2) nice size but not too heavy and 3) not overly expensive. The hold 17 quarts. It also had a tiny compartment to hold things you wouldn't want to get wet from the other contents inside the cooler.To test the ice retention, I didn't have ice cubes to test with so instead froze about a dozen 10 ounce sized water bottles. Then I layered the cooler with a couple of pre-frozen reusable ice packs, the frozen bottles of water and some more ice packs on top. I then kept the cooler closed except to check after 30, 36 and 48 hours. i left the cooler out, indoors at about 80 degrees for this test. To my satisfaction, even after 48 hours in the cooler, most of the bottles of water were still partially frozen. Pretty impressive!Here is what I like and dislike of this cooler:Likes:- good ice retention- plenty of size (17 quarts)- light weight for the cooler's capacity- tiny dry stuff compartment- hasp for locking lid if neededDislikes:--------- not a deal breaker, but my preference is more solid handle instead of a seatbelt type strapI give the Fein 17 quart cooler 5 out of 5 stars.

Great little guy. I was looking for a lunchbox size cooler that's big for a lunchbox but small for a cooler. This little guy fits that bill nicely. It keeps ice quite well for the money. It's incredibly tough and looks pretty durable.

These are great study lunch boxes, But the lid leaks in rain, cannot have it in a rain event without everything inside getting wet, like alot of water, you would think, for the price, it would have a seal of some sort, but they are strong for sure, it will last till retirement 😀

My husband loves it! Very pleased with its durability as he’s a laborer and works in the dirt and wet and cold and hot weather! It had everything he required it to have. And maintains its coldness on the inside all day and night!

I love this cooler. I'm using mine as a lunchbox for my 12hr days and everything stays cold. The strap was the selling point and was better than i thought it would be.

This cooler is greeeeaaaatttttt trust me when I say I love this cooler. I work in Construction Management and I keep this cooler in my vehicle to keep water and other things I like to give my crew. It keeps everything cool even in extreme heat. Which is a great thing, especially during the summer. It is very durable to have anywhere, especially on a construction site. High-quality heavy-duty plastic so it handles rough environments. It is a great buy.
