good design and logic
this checks all the right boxes for me1. compact2. charges via USB-C3. enough brightness4. hides the USB-C port well5. good build quality6. 2 levels of light7. easy to control and nothing to rememberby #7, what i mean is that simply depends on how much you twice the barrel, it goes between 2 stages of brightnesswhich is simple logic to use and much easier than some other flashlights that require slow click/rapid click, or double clickthose who own lots of flashlights from multiple brands will know sometimes we cant remember what the logic is on changing the brightness and they all differ from brand to brandthis is much easier to control and use

Small but mighty.
This mini light is just the ticket for a "get up at 3 a.m. and I need a light" light. You can use the lower mode for general use and twist a bit more to get the full blast. Do note if you keep it on full for a couple of minutes, it will get noticeably warmer, but nothing to worry about. It is built rather solidly, just be sure to keep it safe while recharging, as it will be extended and have a cable connecting to it. All in all if you can get it for a good price (I believe I got mine for about 16 dollars) then you won't be displeased.

most useful flashlight I own
For the past 10 years I have been a huge fan of one of the predecessors of this light, the Olight i1R EOS, which is an incredibly useful and bright keychain light at an amazingly low price. I bought dozens of them and gave them to friends and family for years, and I have at least 10 of them in my own home. I recently purchased this model, the i1R 2 Pro, and it's a great addition to this product line. The Olight i1R 2 Pro improves on the i1R EOS in nearly every way; upgrading from micro USB to USB C charging, increasing peak brightness from 130 Lumens to 180 Lumens, and increasing the built-in battery capacity from 80 mAH to 130 mAH. Another great feature of the i1R 2 Pro is that the LED and lens assembly stays attached to the battery assembly when it is configured for charging, whereas the i1R EOS came apart into two pieces for charging, risking the loss of the LED & lens assembly. The only (small) price to pay for the improved specs is a slightly larger form factor: i1R 16.2mm diameter by 52.2mm length (in off position), compared to the original i1R which was 13.9 diameter by 42.8mm length (in off position). I love the smaller size of the i1R EOS, but the improved specs of the i1R 2 Pro are a worthwhile trade-off for the slightly larger size.On low intensity mode (5 Lumens), the battery is rated to last for 12 hours, and on high power it's rated for 23 minutes. This works just fine for the way I typically use the light, as a minimal "moonlight" for navigating around the house in the dark, and as a (very) bright light for searching for dropped items outside at night or inside cabinets or other dark corners. In my experience the battery does not run down at all if left unused for weeks or months, which is a great feature for leaving one of these in every backpack, first aid kit, car glovebox, key ring, and junk drawer.I have purchased a number of different flashlights fro Olight for myself and as gifts, and I'm impressed with their reliability and consistent performance for all products I have used.I use one (or more) of the i1R series flashlights on a daily basis, and I always have one within reach, making it, by definition, the most useful flashlight I own.

Satisfied Customer
I have another model of the Olight and this model as well and I must say I really like the brand. Both models are fabulous. I have this model on my vehicle key chain and the other model on my house key chain and I love them!

Durable and does exactly what I need it to.
Great addition to my keychain. A small feature missing holding this back is maybe like a safety for when you unscrew and extend the flashlight when you need to charge it.

Solid and pure quality so far
What a innovative and solid waterproof flashlight to add to my key chain! Was worried about spending so much for a mini light. But once it was in my hands I could feel the quality! Happy customer! May take it snorkeling to see what happens lol.

I love this on my keys, the i1r 2 Pro & eos are my fav lights. small bright and 2 settings. downfall is the color doesn't last long but the light is tough.

Good quality light; small, bright, and long lasting on low mode (20 hours)
I had a Fenix E02R before, and it would flicker on low mode. This Olight stays on solid when you turn it on, and the bright mode can light up a large room. Unlike the Fenix E02R which uses a micro-USB and is somtimes hard to connect for charging, this light uses a USB-C and recharges easily. I carry it every day and had no problems so far. It has a nice wide beam, good for close up work.
