I bought the Shy Velvet Balaclava for winter and it’s awesome. Really soft, keeps my face and neck warm, and blocks the wind perfectly. Fits well without being too tight. Great for cold walks or riding my bike. Definitely recommend if you want something warm and cozy for winter!

This is the softest hat ever made, I’m sure of it. You will want to wear this just for the comfort. I got mad when it was too warm inside my house to wear it there.You can pull the bottom portion up to cover nose & mouth, or fold it down to leave your mouth & nose uncovered.This can be worn alone or over a ski helmet. Bonus: it comes in a lot of colors so you can stand out on the slopes & your friends can find you.If you buy this, there’s a good chance you’ll spend more time outdoors in the cold JUST for the opportunity to wear it. It feels THAT good.

This is so soft and cozy and warm. I was able to fit it over my medium size helmet no problem. It didn't seem to tight. Also love that I can use it with the face part without it having to be over my helmet if needed. It's thin so it's easier to breath in but still super soft and cozy. It's loose around my neck which is good for me because sometimes I get a choking feeling if something is to tight around my neck. This seemed fine. I haven't actually gone outside with it yet or put it to use on the slopes yet but will be this weekend and I'll update then. It's definitely something I'll be using during skiing and off the slopes as well. Quality seems well made but hadn't been through any use yet. I ordered the white and it's super cute. Ski snow bunny. But yes it does fit over ski helmets and it didn't seem to tight. However that may depend on the helmet and the helmet size too. I wore a outdoor master size medium helmet for reference and it fits just fine.

- Used on recent trip to Copenhagen in early March. Weather in the 30s Fahrenheit and windy- SINGLE best purchase for the trip while walking around city- This item is light but warm and keeps the head AND face warm.- It has a lower face piece that can easily pull up to cover and protect the face while outside in the wind and yet the face piece also be pulled down while inside.- The straps allow the hat to be cinched down so that the wind can't blow the hat off your head- Will definitely be buying another!!- It is not waterproof for those needing a waterproof hat but would be excellent for skiing as well

Was only cold enough for me to use once but I'll NEVER go hiking in the cold again without this. Wind makes my ears hurt bad!! But this saved me from a windy cold hike in the rockies. I love it
