This is strong
Yikes this magnet is incredibly strong, you will need a bit of force to pull it off metal surfaces or other magnets.buy this if you got something you want hung or things you want removed ( metal bits, nails, paper clips & more ) as a tech guy it will hold all your screws from your devices your fixing or updating. :)

Good overall..
After reading the reviews on these magnets, and how easily they break, I decided to cover both of them I received with half-inch clear hose, and added radiator hose caps on the ends for added protection. They are working out great for what I needed. 4 stars, not as strong as advertised.

Powerful Cylindrical Magnet
This magnet arrived in rolled up bubble wrap which should have been my first clue as to how powerful it is. But did I catch on? Nooo, I brought it near my refrigerator and fortunately, as it almost leapt from my hand, I was able to guide it to my calendar before it went "THUNK" against the steel. So, working it with my fingers I was able to remove it and store it away from any ferrous metal that it wanted to attract. I used this magnet to demonstrate Lenz's Law ( look up on youtube ) by dropping the magnet down a copper pipe ( I prefer 1" so you can look down the pipe while the magnet is traversing the pipe ). Everyone that I have showed it to have been mesmerized and comment on how the magnet "floats." I also found this magnet extremely useful to find a dropped needle. The needle jumped over 6 inches away as I was sweeping the carpet with the magnet. Buy this, you will not be disappointed AS LONG AS YOU RESPECT ITS STRENGTH. This is not a toy for children.
