Well, I had a piece of dark blue leather and used this product to change it to black.All I personally did was rub it into the leather while wearing nitrile gloves and let it sit for a day or so. There was no odor and when I checked it, the leather had a nice soft feel it, softer than when I started.I cannot speak for durability but I can say that it went on very nicely and the results were exactly what I wanted.BT recommended

Trick is use the sponge to feather color into surrounding unaffected areas. DON'T let it dry in a streak. Very happy with the results, went from sidewalk castoff to beautiful piece again.

It works great and is a perfect match for the couches. But how to clean? I let it sit for a few days, untouched, but a chemical cleaner takes some of it off. I guess that's good if you end up not liking the color, but then if you do like it, how do you clean the treated area when there's a mess? I haven't trued plain water on a rag, but I think it will have a similar effect.Photo: Left end of the couch does not have product applied (ran out). Notice the difference in the faded areas. It’s a little thin than I thought. But good part is it’s easier to apply. I used the whole bottle to refurbish my 7 seats. They are all like new now.

Maybe I missed something in the product description, but when dry, it is a gloss finish. Beware if you are looking to repair something with a matte finish. It works as described, though instead of using the brush, I would use a rag you are looking to toss afterward. The included brush would be great on a flat even surface, but if using it on a steering wheel, I'd use a rag if I were to do it again.
