Gen 2 A Step Backwards for More Money!
Unless you are after L3 Switching and a tiny screen with fanless design, this 16 poe switch is worse than the previous generation.Don't get me wrong, it's a great switch with the whole eco system of unifi, with great control, but it's a step backwards for most people.First off, I upgraded to stay 'up to date' with the unifi stuff and stay a head of legacy items, but is not worth the money considering it costs more that the previous US-16-POE.You lose passive 24v POE support, you lose 8 POE ports so only 8 of them are powered, the MAX power over the 8 POE ports is 42w TOTAL vs the old 150W! and to not help fault finding in a rack, they have removed the temperature sensor so you cant keep check on the switch!Don't waste money, get the CHEAPER previous gen switch before they stop selling it and force us with these!
