Highly recommend
Highly recommend, best MRE I've found, Great for backpacking and camping, just add Hot water and eat. You don't need to bring a full kitchen with you like some other ones I've tried. Best tasting too.

Easy to prepare and delicious
Delicious easy to prepare and very fulfilling. With some boiling water I can take this with me nearly everywhere I go and if there's an emergency or I'm out in the field and hungry I have a really good meal.I will be trying out other flavors in the near future

Not quite Southern style but tastes great
This is a favorite of mine. I do add about 2 TBSP more water than called for, and I let it 'steep' 5-10 mins longer. This is partly because of the pouch type. Getting water in the corners and getting everything mixed up can be a bit of a pain. It's also because I like a softer biscuit. The first time I had these, I was surprised at MH's interpretation of this Southern favorite. It's bits of biscuit in with everything else in the gravy. It's not as peppery as I like, but that's easily remedied. It's also not the usual presentation but it works!Mountain House is our favorite, by far, prepared foods seller. Never any TVP or fillers. They don't use wads of salt and/or citric acid as cheap "flavor". No preservatives or any other crud.As well as being a prepper in general, we live in the mountains. Being snowed in, often w/o power, is fairly normal and this is part of our preparation for it. They have a large range of meals, a decent range of sides and breakfasts, and you can't beat a 25+ yr shelf life.I have a love/hate thing going with MH's pouches. Most stuff we buy is #10 cans, but for BOBs and other times, we stick with pouches. They can be a bit deep for normal utensils, so a bit messy to get your hand in, but you can cut the bag down after it's finished 'cooking' and that helps. The corners of the bags can be a pain, to make sure you get the water in everywhere, but the corners are also what allows the bags to stand on their own. That is *very* handy, especially if you're by yourself, to be able to pour w/o having to hold the bag.For these, I sometimes eat them if my hubs has fallen asleep on the couch before I'm ready to hit the sack. I have a kettle in my office and I just make me up one of these for a midnite snack. Good stuff!Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many everyday things you buy will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice at no cost to you. Great taste!
I have bought these for years. I have tried just about every other B&G made. I still prefer the taste of Mountain House. That's the good news... Bad news, the price.... I think it has doubled since I have been buying them.. And even if the package says 2 portions trust me it's a single serving... By the way, I also add a tab of butter and maybe a little more seasoning to mine while rehydrating..

Taste like whataburger gravy
My favorite, just add a little salt and pepper and scramble 2 eggs add after 10 minutes of sitting with boiling water in the bag. Serves 2 people reminds me of whataburger biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. It’s too easy. Actually cost less than going to whataburger, and faster. Bought these to use on a regular basis, not just long term.

Quick meal when away from home
These taste as good as any of the breakfast restaurants like Cty Kt or Den! Well maybe not IHOP, but close. Use the exact amount of water specified in the instructions or a little less and let them soak an extra 10 minutes if you can wait. They'll still be hot.

Worked at a biscuit factory. Needed the dough.
Great product when your on the trail or camping for a couple days. In my opinion, there great tasting, especially when you consider all you have to do is add hot water. If you dont have hot water any temperature will get it done, it just might take a few extra minutes. Quick, easy & tasty.
