Great primer
My husband is a total Vallejo fin boy. His hobby is 3D printing and then painting various models. He loves Vallejo paints and primers and that is all he uses. The primer works straight out of the bottle in his airbrush with no thinning needed and provides great coverage.

Good Primer for Minis
Normally I use rattle cans but this works great when I’m just working on a single mini and don’t want the hassle of mounting it and priming it outside. The primer applies very well and does not clump. It dries quickly and I’ve black , gray and white - all colors are good. It’s not very thick so a small layer is sufficient and keeps the mini’s details visible.

Excellent product
Worked quite well, used a damp brush.

Easy to apply and good coverage
Well, I don't know if this needs more written reviews, I just wanted to say that it was super easy to spray with my airbrush, I thinned it a bit to be able to use less pressure, and I had no issues, primed a bunch of resin figures with it, and worked like a charm :)!It's not super glossy, as for durability, I don't know, we'll see :)!

A must for prepping minis to paint
I use these black, gray, and white primers to do a zenithal prime on minis. I've tried some other primers, but they seem to soften up the details of the minis. This primer seems to be about the perfect consistency to let the details show. Great for contrast painting. Fast drying as well. The only issue I've experienced is when airbrushing with it, it kinda puddles up and sprays around. That is most likely the fault of my airbrush skills.

The best primer for miniature painting.
This product is actually insane. I am not normally someone to write glowing reviews, but this has been the best purchase I have made as a painter. I've tried rattlecans from basic primer, to game worshop, to army painter and never had as clean of an experience as with this. Put a couple drop in an airbrush and you will come out with a beautiful and even matte black as a canvas to work with. What makes this product crazier is even though it is made for the airbrush work perfectly well when applied with a brush, it is almost like magic how well it comes out and it actually saves you on paint!I have a large brush I generally use for priming when I am working and can't use an airbrush. With Vallejo Surface Primer you can put one drop of black on a wet pallet and is that will be enough to get through an entire miniature, what is really crazy about it is how thin it comes out, it never mucks up details or crevices even when I feel like I got too much on a brush. It feels like it is somehow noob-proof primer. I cannot recommend it enough. If every paint I purchased came out as cleanly and smoothly as this primer I would never have trouble painting again.Try it, you will not regret it.

Great coverage and adhesion to plastic
I received an airbrush kit for Xmas. Vallejo primers work great with it. After tweaking the psi, and trial and error, I was able to prime a dozen miniatures with ease in 30 minutes.Although the bottle states it’s airbrush ready, I did find that cutting the primer 50/50 with Vallejo airbrush thinner works much better than straight primer alone. No tip dry with the 50/50 mix, whereas I had to clean the needle repeatedly with the straight primer. It’s a good idea to grab thinner if you’re going to use this with an airbrush.Even though it’s designed for airbrushes, the primer can also be brushed on if you don’t have one. Either way it beats using rattle cans to prime and varnish. I will be buying the white and grey primers, and a matte varnish from Vallejo as well.

another fine Vallejo product
I have been doing military models for nearly 40 years and have been using Tamiya or Vallejo NATO black for a primer with great results. Well I bought some Vallejo gloss black primer for a special job for a customer and it worked great, fast drying, great adhesion and works great with standard brush and in my airbrushes (with very minuet thinning). I did mostly 1/35 scale and now do 1/16 so bought this matte primer and was very pleased. (i was going thru a lot of NATO black.) It also works good on my MSLA 3d prints
