Our Own Candle Company - Patchouli Scented, Premium Grade Home Fragrance Oil for Diffusers (2oz)

Who doesn't love the smell of buttery syrup!? This brings back memories of childhood. The smells were different when used in an oil warmer as compared to a defuser. When heat is added, the smells becomes unpleasant. I prefer the defuser as it doesn't interfere with intended scent.

I bought to put in my diffuser. The fragrance is not strong enough.

Did not come with a dropper..

I was iffy, since I normally get my candle oils from professional warehouses, but this smells AMAZING and it helped me when I was in a pinch. I have gotten the Peach and Pumpkin Spice and both are excellent and they do a great scent throw for wax melts!

Ok before I start my review I saw another review that says dont use this in CP Soap, because it accelerated the trace too fast and she lost a batch - easy fix! Some essential/fragrance oils DO accelerate the tracing effect. Once you learn the hard way, it just means when you use those again to add them very, VERY slowly; and add them sooner than you normally would to the product. In other words: You keep stirring, barely dribbling the product into the soap at the same time. I have to do this with Sweet Orange essential oil in CP. Also she can take that ruined batch and cook it up in a crock pot for a while and rebatch it. It's not a total loss. It may not be something she wants to sell, but she should be able to use it on herself in a rebatch. With that being said - let me move on to my review. I only gave it 3 stars, because this is not what I expected an ocean breeze sent to smell like. I have tried other "ocean breeze" type scents that really give you a nostalgic feeling for being at the beach. This smells more like linen hanging out to dry. Not like the "clean linen" scent you get an air fresheners today, but it does smell heavily like laundry soap. My mother said to her it reminds her of Irish Spring. In any event, it will not be usable for my sea salt salt and seaweed soaps - I am going to have to keep hunting for another fragrance. I used to get a particular one that I loved, but it's been so long I can't find it or don't remember what it was. This fragrance is not so bad that I hate it... I will still keep it and just use it on one of my milk soaps or something else. Maybe I will create a new soap geared specifically for this scent...? Either way, the fragrance is great if you like that Irish Spring smell. But if you're expecting this to be something that takes you to a beach on a desert island somewhere, I think you will be disappointed. I would say that I find the fragrance to be a lot more manly than feminine.

I love this oil the sent was what I was looking for, will buy again.

Smells exactly what you think. Heaven! A few drops goes a long way.

This was a little too sweet and lacked the warm depth I was expecting. I prefer their Macintosh scent for strong crisp apple fragrance and if I want a bit of sweet, mix in a bit of caramel pecan. My daughter loved it, so gladly is using it now.
