Worked like a charm! UPDATE March '24
Problem returned with the issue now in the other end of the cable. This is not the fault of the cable repair kit, but using the kit on the top end of the cable was not easily done. Used the repair kit with the latch and cable referenced below to return function to normal.6L3Z-18264A27-A Rear Door Latch Cable Left Side for 1997-2004 Ford F250 F150 Heritage Extended Cab Pickup 4.2 4.6 5.4 Rear LH Driver Side Ford 6l3z-18264a27 Rear Upper Door Latch Lock Cable AssemblyUsed these to replace the broken cable end on my 2001 F150 pickup truck with the rear half-doors. The cable for the upper door latch was broken on the lower end and came free from the holder. These replaced that part and I was able to repair the cable. These cable ends are metal, where the originals were plastic, so I expect them to last as long as the truck does!

Works great
I had to file the notch out in two of 8 pieces to allow a better fit of the cable to eliminate interference to the cable.

Quality product
These were quality products, but when I tried to install , I realized the cable attachments were stretched and they would not work because of that. Would have worked fine , so that was on me not checking my cables first.

Door cable repair
These little devices make the door repair simple and cheap compared to buying a new cable assembly. It is still difficult to reach after taking the door panels off but that's not a problem with this product but rather the access to the mechanics of the door. These don't come with instructions so I'll pass on my experience. The plastic sheath around the cable will have to be trimmed back about an inch or so from the end to fit these onto the cable. Easily done with a utility knife/blade. They fit snuggly into the door mechanism and may need some channel locks to press them in. The top latch in the F250 had to be removed. Not an easy task. My T25 bit broke off so I drilled the Torx screws out. They are metric so I had to go to my local hardware store to buy new button head screws. Reinstalled and used just a dab of JB weld, for extra insurance, to make sure they held in place and didn't rattle lose.

Fixed my 2002 F150 rear mini door.
These worked perfect to fix my 02 F150 rear mini door. I just watched a couple instructional videos on YouTube.

Crap Quality
These parts were completely worthless. These are cheap parts that cannot perform the function for which they are designed. The inside holes are too tight, and when installed and cause the cable to bind.. The outside machining was too large, and made them nearly impossible to snap in place. After battling the non functioning parts for several hours, I bought a set of Dorman cable ends at Autozone; installation took 20 minutes per door, and both doors work perfectly.

Poorly machined, had to modify
These are sturdy, and a needed improvement over the OEM plastic ends. The problem lies in the inconsistent machining which causes some of the ends to not fit without modification; one was so tight the cable wouldn't slide in (thankfully I was ony repairing one side so had extras), two others weren't cut deeply enough and the cable wires were bent to the side as a result. Needed to take a grinder to them to get the wire slot deep enough so the cable wouldn't bind. Still much cheaper than the OEM assembly, but Amazon has the complete assembly from the aftermarket for less than $40; I used that when repairing the other side, it works well and is a simple bolt-on.
