Nice burner.

The best butane burner I’ve used. I own 5 burners from Gas-One and Iwatani. This one is the best because it has the largest diameter burner ring I can find. It puts out an equivalent amount of heat at 12,000 btu while only consuming as much fuel as a 10,000 btu burner. It heats up a 10” skillet insanely fast but be careful with expensive nonstick pans, these burn hotter than LP or natural gas! I will say a drawback is the burners house construction. It is not as substantial as my Gas-One’s and can not support a lot of weight. It can’t hold a loaded 6-8qt boiling stock pot but larger 10” - 12” frying pans like Sensarte, Carote and Michaelangelo it excels at! Stir-fry with this bad boy is awesome while not burning through your cans of butane so fast. For heavier cooking needs buy the Gas-One 15,000 btu because it has a much stronger skeleton but have extra cans of butane on hand…

Have used the stove may times and felt to write a review that notes some of the negative reviews. This stove works very well and is very efficent. I rarely need to use on high and am usually cookin on low heat or less. For example the stove will simmer a 2 qt pot of water when on very low or bring it to an aggressive boil on medinum heat. it will adjust from a very low (less than simmer) flame to a rageing boil. Stove efficentcy can vary by gas can brand (some companies may not be filling completly to 8 or 8.8 oz) and how high of a heat you run it. i so far have put in about an hour to hour and a half of cooking and still have a little less than half a can of butane left. The only limitation to the stove is the pot supports. The pot supports are 123mm or 4 3/4" from point to point. so any thing at or less will be too small to be held up by the supports. The supports are also aluminum or some alloy of aluminum. They melt at a lower temp then steel so if you are heating a pan with nothing in it on full blast high. to give you a better since of security however aluminum depending on the alloy melts between 865-1240 F or 463-671 c . so when you see reviews of people melting them they are getting them extreamly hot, far above most any cooking situation. With food in the pot or pan they will never reach this tempature. This should also show that these stoves are able to put out some serious heat. So pro tip for save use would be this. Use the stove and get to know it. dont assume its your gas range and use it as such. I actually like it better than a gas range and far better than an electric cook top. Dont use pots or pans that hang over the unit or over where the gas can sits. stay within the silver surface. Most common issues people have are too but of a pot or pan, not reading iwatani's very simple manual (it has pictures...common...take 5 min), in general common sense when working with any compress flammable gas and a very hot surface.p.s. if you look at the manual notice some of the pictures are kinda funny. common for japanese manuals, and always gets me to look through the manual. its like reading a commic strip

Bought this burner primarily as a backup when the power grid goes down, and was able to try out the stove during an extended power outage this year. The stove is easy to use, the gas canister is held in place magnetically, didn't have issues. The stove is easy to ignite. It also can bring a kettle of water to a boil reasonably fast. One weird thing is the igniter wire is in the path of the flame and it glows bright orange when the burner is on. Not sure if this is common to all butane stoves.I marked the included case to make it obvious which side is up / down.Anyhow, it's holding up great so far, and plan to use it for hotpot/fondue where I'm sure it'll work great.

Excellent item. Easy to use and cook

I have an Iwanti that is specifically for Korean BBQ that I love. This item is more versatile in that it's just the burner element, so while you can purchase the Korean BBQ plate separately, you can use it as-is as a regular gas burner. I watch a lot of YouTube cooking videos, and this is the one that most of them recommend.While I'm not needing to have the burner in a remote location to film videos, I do like the fact that I can cook anywhere in the kitchen without electricity. The convenience does come at a price, though.My two complaints (which are really more about the TYPE of item this is, not the brand/model itself) are that (1) this thing puts out a LOT of heat. If you have it on medium-high, you'll probably want to turn off your overhead fan, because otherwise the heat will go everywhere except up towards your food. And (2) it goes through the gas canisters pretty quickly, even at moderate heat output. Having to order and stock the canisters may override the convenience of cooking anywhere.

This is the second one that we got. We use this for KBBQ and hot pot and out door cooking. Good BTU and quality.
