This remote transmitter control for a REALFYRE fireplace insert is difficult to find at a reasonable price. My research found the cost to be as much as 125.00. AMAZON had the best price. I only needed the remote control and not the remote receiver. REALFYRE will make it sound like you can purchase the remote control alone. But I did not find this to be true – hence buying both parts. Unfortunately the remote control does not work with all receivers even though the part numbers are the same and they look the same. So thankfully I did end up with both parts. The connections were easy to do. The two pieces paired and synced up just fine. AMAZON has a link for set-up assistance and technical assistance which is a really nice plus. The part number for this unit is RR-1A. This is the number REALFYRE and other sellers use – it is the number on the box the unit came in. I had to replace my original control because the buttons wore out after 5 years. So I would say these are at least durable for as much money as they cost ($76.00 on amazon). The remote I received does have a different logo than the one shown on Amazon. But the part number was accurate. So far everything works good after using it for 2 months.

I had my son install this for me and it was accomplished very quickly. It works just like it supposed to. On & off!

worked perfect, easy to install

I ordered this remote fireplace kit. 1) It was advertised as a Peterson unit and it came as a Real Fyre.2) IT DID NOT WORK, receiver wouldn't function in learn mode which made remote useless 3) I print my return information and go to UPS to return it... and turns out it came from Whole Foods, believe it or not, and has to be returned to a Whole Foods store. Not a good plan on Black Friday, so mission aborted to another day. What in the h3ll is Whole Foods doing selling remote fireplace equipment ? SATY AWAY!

Needed to replace the receiver unit on my Peterson gas log fireplace recently and was happy to locate it on Amazon. Arrived on time, was easily installed and works perfectly!

We needed a replacement remote control and lost ours somehow. This synced perfectly and we are back in business. The connection for the box was different from our original but the original one worked. We will keep it as a back up.

Fits and works as advertised. Easy to install.

I had to call a technician to disconnect the receiver box and connect the new one. I don't think this is necessarily a design flaw. I just could not pull the connectors apart no matter how hard I tried. Too bad because it cost me more for the service call than for the item. But now that it is hooked up it works great.

Simple to instal seems very well made, works perfectly, two thumbs up👍👍
