They work as spacers for Tall wardrobes Too!
I do furniture assembly. Including a fair amount of PAX wardrobes from IKEA. Yesterday (June 5th, 2015) I used four of the one inch ones, as spacers, along the top backside of the 93" PAX unit, so the unit would be plumb, and I did not have to remove the clients molding/trim along wall at the floor.
