Great intelligent product
Love my hammock. Very comfortable and unbelievably easy to set up anywhere. Setup and breakdown is quicker than any tent I could imagine. Saves a ton of pack space for long or strenuous hikes. The hammock proved to be over 5lbs of weight reduction right off the bat, but should be noted that it's design allows for the volume in pack to be far reduced from any tent with poles. The snake skins are a must have IMO and greatly reduce the effort required when taking the hammock down etc.I would consider a different stuff sack as the one it comes with is a bit small and not the most durable. There's a loop on the bottom of the sack I used to carabiner the hammock to my pack....but the loop tore off the pack mid-hike first day.The hammock sleeps a bit colder than any tents I have used, but I typically sleep on top of a thermarest mat...i did not use the thermarest for my first hammock trip but I will definitely use it next trip. The rain fly works perfectly for it's intent but also keeps a considerable amount of heat in. can be easily removed or adjusted though if too hot. Overall this is an amazing product but I would recommend the zip entry design over the bottom velcro entry because the zip design allows you to sit with yours legs hanging off the side and with nothing directly above you with a quick reconfiguration.

Not for me & my Blackbird
This size is awesome for my Warbonnet Outdoors Superfly but the small tapered end is far too narrow to work effectively on my Warbonnet Outdoors Blackbird hammock. I tried to like it on the hammock; I had it on the hammock; I hiked and camped with it on the hammock; yesterday I took my scissors and cut it off my hammock! Granted I may have went to far when I put it on the hammock in that I worked like lleh to get the narrow end all the way over the gathered end - there's where my dislike began. I would probably "like" not "love" this on my hammock again if I simply ran the large end down from the line and left the narrow end loose, but I just didn't like having it that way and so I forced it down tight, tight enough that I ended up just cutting it off. Now, on the rainfly it is MAGNIFICENT. It makes camp breakdown a breeze. and I can easily see that it would also be fantastic on other models of hammocks and for that purpose - were I to own a different hammock - I would most likely give it a higher rating. I know that it was designed for Hennessy hammocks, and I have no doubt that it shines there. I was just hoping that I could get it to work on my Blackbird.

Great for time, bad for space
These are 100% a convenience product, if you need to get set up in a hurry it is great to just slide them off the hammock and hop in, or slide them on and get on trail. However they make the hammock stiff and hard to manipulate into your pack. I was able to still fit my hammock in the stuff sack it came with, but with some difficulty. I was also worried when I first opened them that they would never fit my entire hammock inside, but they work great and have room to spare once you've gotten the hang of sliding them on.

These seem to simplify things.
These seem to simplify things But... They are a bit tight when I put both the hammock and rainfly in there. We will see how this works in the field. Hennessys recommendation is to leave the sleeping bag in the hammock all the time. That would mean a separate line for the rainfly which might not be bad. If I do that the skins would be fine for holding just the rainfly.

Makes hammock camping easy.
I love these snakeskins for my hammock. They make putting up and taking the hammock down so much easier. I'm going to have to get another set for my tarp. I have a grand trunk hammock with the bugnet all in one and i love how easy it is now. Sturdy material and it is well made, doesn't snag on anything and i used it the past weekend in the pouring down rain and it makes for a fast deploy of the hammock. Glad i purchased it and highly recommend this product to anybody that uses a hammock.

Useful and great quality
I found this very useful for my Raintarp. The ENO ProFly is kinda bulky and has to be folded to go in the stuff sack, so this saves a lot of headache. I prefer stuff sacks for my hammocks because putting them in the snakeskins just takes up more space with very little saved time.

Not bad, really long
I wanted to try these out on my Warbonnet Blackbird hammock. They are very long and after they are installed work pretty darn well. Several inches of the tapered end are on the far side of my gathered end knot, but no biggie and possibly preferable in practice. I the hammock now packs more coiled than before, but it packs faster. I'll spend more time with it and will possibly be adding another set for my tarp.Good product so far.

Definitely a good accessory
Somehow I keep ending up in the middle of the swamp on a rainy day. It's hard to set up a tent of any kind in the swamp, on a rainy day. This helps. A lot. I can string the hammock up between trees (I use two carabiners at each end to get tension quickly, modified version of what this guy does: [...] ). Once it's set and tight I slide back the snake skins and tension the rain fly. And that's pretty much it. Hammock itself doesn't get rained on.In under a minute I've got a dry place to sleep. Takes about as long to break it down and be on my way.
