I got these novelty socks because my son and I love race cars. They were a good laugh getter when I revealed them. Since the initial chuckles wore off they socks have been comfortable to wear and somewhat understated, causing more than one person to look closer to see what was on them.They're made nicer than lots of socks you see at novelty stores. They're nicer than the last pack of dress socks I got from Macy's. For a single pair they're a little on the premium priced side but they look and feel good, so it seems justified.They stretch to fit my size 5XXW son and my 10.5D foot just fine.

They are super comfortable and very high quality. I love the design and the fit is perfect. No issues seen after washing them initially either.

Good (i.e. actually wearable) novelty socks fall into three categories. The first is "good enough to wear for your own enjoyment." Those aren't for show, but maybe they make you or a close friend laugh. The second is "good enough for making a statement" (humor, etc). Those are nicely enough made to look good in public, but maybe the fabric isn't the softest. The third category is "GOOD ENOUGH TO GIVE AS A GIFT." These race car socks are in this third category. The material is soft and stretchy - and looks to be the stated size. The gray background is nice and the printing of the little race cars looks to be of good quality (though, only a dozen or more wash and dry cycles will tell for sure).

They're decent quality socks, if a bit thin (they're not athletic socks), but I was hoping the real item would have a clearer representation of a racecar. Turns out the photos are actually quite good: You have to get pretty close to the sock to figure out what the illustration is. If you're happy just knowing you have racecars on your socks, then have at it. But if you're trying to get attention or perhaps meet some other racing fans, there might be a clearer way to make the statement.
