First time user of Boat product. Got the soundbar during the Prime day sale, hence got the product at Rs 5400/- (HDFC bank Discount)SoundSound is good. As all other product which have additional Subboofer, boat 1800 add great bass to your music experience. But the issue is that the Subboofer viberate when it delivers a high punching bass sounded songs/music..which stollen the feel of the song. I just hate that vibrating sound of subwoofer creates..yuck! Around 15 sound level itself starts its vibration phenomenon (only for high bass punched music)!! While watching movie the vocal are very less clear but the explosion/guns sounds are heavy, so the sound always has to be adjusted based on the scenario of the movie (as we have a terrible neighbour).Connection:I tried with Bluetooth and HDMI ARC.. no doubt HDMI give a better output. (Connecting it with TV and Mobile via bluetooth, the sound output varies..I wonder why! With mobile it gives much better sound output than TV). In general Bluetooth connectivity is fabulous, no delay at all. It automatically connect with the Subwoofer, that too very fast! While connecting with soundbar it give a sound "Now you are connected with boat avante" that feels cool!Port position!I really wonder which fool have designed this soundbar. All the port ( HDMI, optocal, AUX, even pendrive) is placed directy to the back of the soundbar. As we all know that soundbar looks alegent when it is wallmounted, and having all these stuffs located in the straight back positing we can't wallmount it with connecting cables. The funny thing is that they have included wallmouting screws/nob with the package and they are indirectly communicating to us "hey, don't wallmount it, we have given all the ports at the back"Wireless Subwoofer!!Actually I didn't know why it is called a wireless subwoofer. It required an additional plug point to switch on the subwoofer. See, if we are picking a wired subwoofer then the only thing is it has to be connected to the soundbar through a wire!! Wireless subwoofer is more difficult it need additional plug point/three plugpin to switch it on and wired subwoofer can easily connected directly to soundbar to make it work!!! Look the picture I have posted it is all messedup with wires!!Conclusion!I think boat1700D will be better choice than boat 1800. The main highlight of 1800 is the wireless subwoofer, as i mentioned in the above statement its can't claim as wireless. But incase of 1700d it give Dolby digital audio and I hope it will make a difference to your sound experience.Overall - the product is budget friendly, give good bass and vocal clarity is ok kind off not that brilliant. . that is it. The product look standard with fully matt black finish. Rest all is same 120 watts..Boat1800 is great product..no complaints.As always hatsoff to my dear Amazon, giving this product well packed, on time delivery and good discount.

This is my 2nd boat product. Bought this with high expectations but didn't match. I have a 600 sq ft area hall, but this product didn't serve the purpose. No complaints about the product but it didn't match my expectations. This is not Dolby atmos, it is Dolby audio.

Build quality: 9/10. It is good but not great, which is completely OK, considering the price point. I had to create replacement of my soundbar as its woofer had loose screws. After replacement, everything is good.Sound quality: 9/10 considering the price point, it is great. Vocals are clear for watching a movie or TV series. I tried the bar with subwoofer removed and it sounded really good, I could listen to the lows and mids. By wiring in the subwoofer, i could still hear to the mids and lows by decreasing the bass. I played EDM and Punjabi music on it. Sound of both was crystal clear, bass was deep but dont expect far too much as it is soundbar and not a complete 5.1 Home theatre system. Overall, i am pretty happy with the sound. It can be used in a small hall for a party too. I watched movie and an episode of a tv series on low volume and i was really happy with its performance.Connectivity: i tried bluetooth and HDMI arc. There is considerable difference, when connected thru HDMI Arc. The sound with HDMI Arc is far better than with bluetooth. I have MITV 4x pro. I was able to connect with bluetooth in my 3rd try, however it disconnected twice, before starting to work properly. There is no sound delay via bluetooth however via HDMI ARC, i noticed a lag of 1-2 sec on start of the video, the sound starts coming after gap of 1 to 2 seconds. It kay be bcoz of HDMI Arc cable. I have ordered a better one of Amazon basics, lets see how it performs with it. I also connected it with my phone via bluetooth and it worked perfectly fine. No disconnections were there. There is no problem with the remote. It has option to increase and decrease the bass and treble. Rest of the connections, I did not try.Box Content: Remote with batteries alongwith AUX cable. There is nothing else in the box besides warranty and documentation. AUX cable is not of very good quality, although i am have not used it and wont be using it but by the look of it, it does not look that good.
