Berlin PopOut Map (PopOut Maps) Map – Folded Map, March 11, 2014

Folds up to 3.75 by 5 inches, easily fits into a purse or pocket. When opened, it has 2 larger maps, 9.5 by 8 each.

This map is fine in bright daylight. However, the print is small and in a dark grey typeface, so it was impossible to use in the evening by streetlight--exactly when you'd be most in need of a map to help you home. Sights, museums, and such are listed only in German, which is something to consider if you don't speak German. This made it difficult On the plus side, the streets are all labelled (not the case with the map my travelling companion brought).

Love these pop up maps. Fits right in your pocket. Coated for protection. More travel info than just the map. Perfect

Great little pop up for travel in Berlin. I love the series and have used the maps on other occasions in other cities. Great when google maps is not available on your phone due to data roaming and charges.

Convenient for main tourist sites in central Berlin but not useful for broader travels.

Was really helpful when we visited Berline. Held up to a lot of in-and-out of pockets and frantic opening on the street.

I was surprised when this arrived as I had not intended to order it! My mouse must have slipped and I didn't check what was in my basket. However as it was so cheap I decided to keep it and ordered my original (and far better) choice of the Marco Polo laminated map for a similar price. As other reviewers have commented the pop-out map is only good for the centre of Berlin, and as everything is so compressed a magnifying glass would be a useful accessory. The origami-type folding mechanism is a bit gimmicky and I do wonder how long it would last after repeated use. However it's cheap enough and can help in the absence of other maps.

I spent three days in Berlin and, my being alone and not wanting to look like a vulnerable tourist, I prefer to appear confident and as though I`m familiar with the area and know where I`m going and, consequently, I like to keep the street map discreetly hidden, which is quit possible with this small, but very comprehensive and detailed version. My being a pedant, I carry out research prior to my setting off on holiday and then mark all my `must sees` on the map, thereby ensuring that I don`t miss anything by my inadvertently walking past it.

I’ve had several of these maps for different cities & without exception they’ve been brilliant. Love how they fold up & go in your bag/pocket but the card cover stops it getting dog eared. Whenever I go away I put tiny pointer tabs on the things I intend to see to help make building an itinerary easier & this makes doing that easy. Top marks from me.

As per previous comments this pop out map is very flimsy and tore the first time I opened it. Also it is very small print so I suggest using a travel guide with included City map or pick one up on arrival if staying in an Hotel - most have free maps showing hotel location and full city centre plan.

Excellent map. Excellent value. Has all the streets clearly marked and the fact that the map folds back in to itself and fits in my pocket is a really great feature. Bought one for each couple going in our group.
