It is very nice looking and is going to work for me to relocate the battery in my truck. It has a nice matte black finish on the metal throughout. The metal is sturdy but not bulletproof. I really like the easy to pick up handles that collapse back in place with a spring so there's no rattling when driving. And it is water resistant. Completely submerged in water inevitably the slits in the rubber grommets would probably allow water in but that would only matter if you used this for a large boat and then the engine room flooded. Otherwise it's blocking all rain and snow pretty much. This is really nice for creating mod-space in your vehicle or using it to fabricate a "fender" battery. Hmmm? What's a "fender", battery you ask? Well that's where you put a battery on all four fender flares of your truck. Why do you do that you ask? Well...It's because I made my own e******* **** ***** drive...

I really love this battery box, I got it for my small camping storage trailer that I have some solar panels on. The box has 4 holes in the bottom to mount the box down with and it includes all the screws for it. There is also holes on the side and back for the grommets to fit into that are included inside. All of the grommets come without a hole in them which is really nice so that you can make the hole yourself as small as possible for your wires and it will fit tightly so that no water can get into the box. It would be a nice plus if these included extra grommets in case of messing up but I can't really complain. There is also a little lock and key they give you to lock it on the outside, I'm going to probably use a stronger lock but I really like the inclusion of it and it's so tiny and cute. The box itself feels like it can take a hit and weighs a little bit too. The handles on the side are strong and it's fun to grab them and feel the strength of it. There is also a removable and adjustable insert inside the box in case the battery is smaller it won't get hit all around as well as some nice long padding material that I assume is intended to place around the battery for some protection! I really love this box and can't wait to get it all wired up and I can't recommend it enough!

Box arrived and looked decent until I mounted it and the door wouldn't close properly. Most be a perfectly flat surface or it will tweak being that it's so flimsy. Then we realized there weren't any rubber grommets or the padlock that was supposed to come with it. Amazon told me to directly contact the manufacturer to get the missing parts and it would be quicker. Then the manufacturer told me I would get my missing parts in 2 weeks. It would have been faster to order a new one and return the one I got! This has been a big disappointment, I would not recommend. Sorry but there are better options with better customer service.Update: 4 weeks, still no grommets..

This battery box is a life saver for moving and carrying a heavy lead acid battery around. The side handle make it way easier to lift the battery instead of using the center handle on the battery case. Plus the added general protection for the battery in a nice bonus.The battery box came with some rubber plugs to seal up the battery cable access holes, some anchoring bolts (if necessary), a divider plate for inside the box, and a padlock for the outside. By moving the inner plate this battery box can support a variety of battery sizes. It had no issues with my Group 24 Marine battery.The box has different cut outs for running power cables to the battery. The rubber plugs are not precut to run the cables through out-of-the-box and do have to be installed. The lock is OK. It is mostly a visual deterrent than actual security. The side handle are spring loaded to keep them in the downward position. If there were any issues at all with this box, it is that it is 'water resistant' not 'water proof.' There isn't any top seal gasket for the lid and the rubber plugs are a bit too loose for it to be 'Proof'. That said, It is perfect for my setup and what I need it for. 4 stars.

This box is perfect to hold the battery for a small solar project The battery I'm using is fairly small, so moving the baffle leaves room for the charge controller and other bits. The rubber grommets are doing a good job of keeping the weather out, and the box as a whole is keeping the contents dry. The latch is lockable but that's only useful to me if the squirrels figure out how to operate it.

This product advertises itself as a storage box for the back of the truck, but it is a little smaller than most of those that I have seen. It is lightweight but very durable from the outside. This one is in matte black and looks incredible. It has holes which can be plugged up with mesh circles or solid circles depending on the ventilation needs of your box. It also includes some mounting hardware and a small but strong keyed padlock.Overall this is a great box that I have actually mounted under my bedside table. I keep important valuables there and I have quick access while also shielding them away from any semi-public places in my home. Everything I need fits in their properly and with the included small shelf I have everything organized to grab quickly if needed.Overall this is a wonderful metal box for storage. It's a little small so you might want to use it for things such as valuables or restricted tools. It works great and everything does what it's supposed to do. Excellent!
