Small, Accurate, and Super Handy USB Tester!
The media could not be loaded. I wanted to test all of my USB cables and figure out which ones were holding back the performance I needed.I simply wanted to check voltages for charging, not data, or videoHere’s my experience:After using this tool for a couple of months, I was pleasantly surprised. It has a super small form factor, feels well-built, and has proven to be accurate. I've tested many cables and I'm happy to report that it hasn’t limited power throughput at all.🔬 Testing ParametersDevice: USB tester connected to several cablesPower Source: Ecoflow Delta Pro 3 (4500Wh battery backup)Scenario: Previously measured about 95W charging output to a laptop from the Ecoflow panelPROS:✅ Super small and portable: Easy to carry and use anywhere✅ Very bright display: Easy to read in most lighting conditions✅ Scrolls through key metrics: Voltage, wattage, and amperage✅ Solid connectors: Good physical build quality✅ Minimal impedance: No noticeable restriction on power flowCONS:❌ Fast scrolling: Data points cycle quickly, making it hard to catch one metric for very long🔎 CONCLUSIONI would highly recommend this tester if you're looking for simple measurements of power throughput. After plugging the same cable into this inline tester, I saw similar wattages as without it (as shown in the video and pictures). Honestly, I was expecting more impedance at higher wattages, but even after leaving the tester in place for a while, there was no noticeable temperature rise or performance drop. This has earned a place in my laptop bag!

Budget friendly version
Amazingly accurate? Probably not; but for the price definitely good enough.

Less would be more
I have some USB-C cables with built-in power displays, so I thought these would be useful for adding displays to some of my existing cables. This display shows not just the power measurement, but constantly rotates between power, voltage, and current. It also updates the display several times a second, sometimes shifting the decimal point, leading to a very busy display. Between all of the switching of modes and ranges you need to stare at it for a long time and wait for the reading you want to see come around in order to get information out of it. In day-to-day casual use, you really just want to know how much power your device is sucking down, and a single power display that updates only once per second with only integers is much more usable at-a-glance and doesn't distract with constant flashing if it is in your field of view. The only displays I can find of that type only go up to 100 watts, though. Here's hoping someone reads this review and makes a power-only, integer-only, one update per-second display that supports 240 watts. On the plus side, I tested and this does actually support 40 gigabits/sec data transfer which is useful. I was able to route two 4k/60hz display signals through the adapter (plus other peripherals), without issue.

Simple but effective
Very nice, simple unit to debug power consumption. Small, works well, and seems decently built. I used this to debug power issues with a Macbook, though see that it works for any USB PD device. It allowed me to discover that not all USB C laptop chargers are PD.

Longevity is lacking.
I was excited to receive these because I like to know how my charging is going. Well, I've had these for two months and one is dead already. When they work, they work well. But, the longevity is not there. Hopefully, the last one will last. I really only need one but losing one was VERY disappointing.

Convenient for charge monitoring
These things are very convenient for monitoring the charging rate of USB battery packs. It's not always clear what voltages a battery pack accepts or what voltage a pack or USB adapter can supply, using one of these things will provide immediate feedback and insight into what's going on to ensure packs charge as quickly as possible.

The Tiniest [and cutest] Multimeter In My Toolbox
This is a very tiny, in-line, USBC-to-USBC, Voltage, Amperage & Wattage meter. I have used it on my laptop, and my phone, to watch its charging current & voltage, and it seems to match closely with the external charger's readout. The small display cycles through Voltage, Current & Wattage.I primarily use it to identify cables which are not charging well any more. I can take two of my trusty cables & discover one of them may not be performing as well as the other. As said, it is tiny, and will be very easy to lose, so I have to keep track of it among my many cables, batteries, connectors & chargers.

Highly Recommennded
I have used Amazon since the early 2000s and have relied on user feedback to make my purchasing decisions. I have found that the Amazon community is right on. I have not, however, done my part to provide ratings to help others make their decisions. This is just one of many ratings that I have needed to provide. My strategy is to provide a numerical rating when there is not much more to say, except it worked as designed, was well made, and did not have any obvious flaws. I will provide more elaboration when needed to support a rating, good or bad. For this item, however, I think just a score will suffice.
