Must have for older homes with spotty service.
I wish I had done this project sooner. It works wonderfully.

Asus convert
I replaced my 3 Asus rt-ax82u with 1 of these. First I tried a flint 2. Openwrt is a great idea but I spend two weeks trying to get Mac address authentication with dynamic vlan setup. I was not successful. After unboxing, installing the network controller, and about 5 minutes of configuration, I had it all working. Connection speeds are top notch, the ui is the best I've ever seen, and the support from ubiquiti has already impressed me. I think I found my new brand.

Pretty good, but not great
Very good but not as good as the Enterprise 6E. The main issue seems to be that it doesn't handle multiple clients as well as the 6E. I notice more interruptions and hiccups on 6 GHz.However, it is much more affordable, I just wish there was better documentation on its use cases and relative comparison to 6E units. The price difference isn't so large than you might want to wait for an enterprise unit or opt for the 6E model.Otherwise the signal strength and performance are acceptable. I was not able to saturate a 2.5 Gbit uplink, and it maxes out around 2 Gbit. Why does that matter you ask? Ever tried doing backups of user PCs over Wifi? Speed matters, especially backhaul speed.Ultimately they need to make this a 5 or 10 Gig uplink because Wifi 7 can easily saturate that link when going to performant backend storage.

Screaming Fast, easy setup
This access point is a good example of why I have bought in to the Unifi ecosystem. The access point was up and adopted in minutes, easy mounting with several options in the box, and now my wifi connection runs as fast as the Ethernet cable the access point is connected to.
