The kids love this, which is what I wanted. It's fun for them to use, since it lights up, but it also helps them pay closer attention to the smaller details in things (and examine bugs). It seems like it'll last them a long time and is a great magnifying glass for when you need to see something up close and might need some extra light. It helps prevent shadows or needing to find a light, which could be the case with a magnifying glass not used for kid science and without a light.

I have lots of magnifying glasses laying around my house, and while they all worked fine, I always had to go to a light source in order to see through them, so I decided to get a lighted magnifier. Amazon had a large selection that all looked basically the same, so I chose this one based on price and reviews. It works great and uses 3 AAA batteries (not included). Happy with my purchase. :-)

Well made. But, but slightly heavy with 3AAA batteries. Still works after 3 mths.

I like this magnifying glass but it's bulky.

This seems to be a pretty well made magnifying glass. It doesn't feel cheap. It works for what I needed it for, but if you want intense magnification, you may want to look elsewhere. The 45x magnification is a tiny spot on the handle, and it's hard to see things through it.

Really helps with the small stuff. I need to weed my vinyl sometimes on areas that are very small and tedious and this really helps out a lot. Quality is good. No issues and I use this on a daily basis. I recommend this to anyone needed a magnifying glass
