Immediate issues

Let me preface this with my background in 3d. I have owned over 30 machines (including ones I have built). I also write published articles on 3D etc. Ok, crap aside, I decided I needed a larger printer for repeat large prints. I normally use direct drive but the bowden is okay for what I intend to use this for. I tried the mk.1 by monoprice which was a disaster and I looked at the new Creality which is $700 to $800 and frankly not worth that much. So I decided on the Jgaurora a5(s). This unit is that machine (OEM label). Few reviews, but I took a chance.1. First Impressions - Well packaged (it is the jgaurora). Machine looks incredibly sturdy.2. Assembly is straight forward. The only problems (which are minor) is that the lower section of the Z axis frame was bent (no big deal, its sheet metal). Just gently bent it back.3. Only 3 Screws fit on the underside. The fourth was burred badly and would not tap, so I replaced it with one I had (again, no issue).4. Once together it looks great, however as others point out it is a bit wobbly (the Z axis section. However this should not affect prints unless your travel and print speeds are excessive.. Also you can mod this to improve strength.5. X axis assembly was skewed inside unit. Again no big deal. I removed the X axis cover plate and manually lowered and leveled using a neat tool I have.6. Homed all Axis and the nozzle was way too far from the bed. Again, no big deal, just lowered Z axis end stop (two screws and the mounting block lowers (or raises).7. I checked everything and then I noticed the left Z axis nema stepper motor. As I raised the hotend (z axis) up, I noticed the the coupler and threaded lead screw wobbled violently (and I mean violently) as the hotend raised. I have enough experience to know that this will affect surface prints. This thing wobbled atleast 5 plus mm at the top of the threaded rod. The coupler also danced side to side as the motor spindle rotated. So, the reality is that the motor is either of kilter a hair, the coupler is not screwed on correctly or the threaded rod is severely bent. The right moved flawlessly.I could have easily taken this apart, however it is a pain to disassemble this printer due to the sheet metal. So I have decided to replace the printer (thanks to Amazon CS).I will update this review after I get the second on sat.Again, let me stress, this is a well packaged printer, looks sturdy (the only 3d part is the crappy fan cooler). The stepper wobble is way out of spec and should have been caught at the factory. I will post video later if the second unit sucks. If not, Ill put it down to a fluke.Update: Received second unit, but the horror continues. Box looked fine, but when I opened the box, the glass bed had shifted of the heat bed and pushed against the side of the packing with the included paper instructions glued to the underside of the glass bed ! Impossible to remove so now the glass has paper stuck to it and can not be put onto heatbed. I decided to atleast check the motors and low and behold BOTH z steppers wobble violently including couplers. The left motor wobbles by more than 10mm when X axis is near bed. Getting tired of this crap....

Arrived on time with problems

It arrived today on time and went together quickly, the LCD touchscreen doesn't work. It lights up but there's no icons to touch, it's just a white lit screen. If I touch the screen the printer seems to respond but it can't be used like this unless I want to print blindfolded. Hopefully this can be fixed quickly and I'll update my review. The fan on the extruder is also loud, it seems the metal case that's covering it is a little bent, also found a loose black round part in the box that looks like something screws into it. Not sure about that one.

Worst Printer I have tried!

Where to start. When I first revived this print I was very excited. once putting it together I noticed that leveling the bed was going to be difficult. But I wasn't too worried about that. Then I noticed that the bed wasn't heating up. com to find that one of the connectors had broken off (possibly during shipping). I did contacted ACED and they replaced the printer. Then the second printers bed however was not glued on right. So the printer still could not print correctly. To boot, leveling the bed was worse than I originally thought, to get the bed to the proper level. You have to lower it so low it scrapes the top of the printer base. I would not recommend this printer to anyone.

Stay Away!!!! Very bad printer

I've had a few different 3-d printer over the past few years from various manufacturers. This is the worst printer among them. Where to begin, the x&y movements weren't smooth, they skipped a little, it sounded like the gear was stripped. The whole machine seemed to rattle at different movement directions. After trying to level the table and smoothing out the noise, the main problem is that I never got anything to print properly. Nothing ever seemed to stick or print properly. This is definitely the case of getting what you paid for. I would stay away from this printer and look at something else.

now I can enjoy my 3D printer and share it with my family

When I first bought this I was confused, then when the company sent me a new manual it was an explosion of wonderfulness. Thank you for that, now I can enjoy my 3D printer and share it with my family. This has turned out to be the best gift to myself ever!

Easy to set up and good quality construction

The printer took about 15 minutes to set up. It took a few minutes to figure out how to load the filament properly, but once that was done and a quick bed-leveling I was printing one of the test samples in no time. If you set the bed-level too-loose the project will come loose from the print-bed while printing, watch for that. Overall I am very satisfied with the printer and quality.
