Excellent performance

TLDR: if you’re even thinking of trying ASA and your printer is set up for higher temp engineering materials, this is the perfect filament to buy.My setup:Enclosed Ender 3 with sprite extruder running Klipper.Enclosure only gets up to 45-50cPrint settings for this filament:270c hot end100-110c bed temp on a slick metal plate with magigoo adhesive.Speeds of 50-300mm/sThis filament is fantastic! Up until now my go to filament for high strength applications has beenPC-ABS. Unlike PC-ABS which is very brittle if not printed with 100% infill this ASA-CF manages to retain a significant amount of strength even at lower infill percentages. Printing components for Rc aircraft I need to strike a balance between strength and weight and this filament works perfectly. It’s just as intuitive as conventional filament types given your setup can accommodate the higher temperatures needed to print it.While it’s recommended to print more slowly with this filament I have still had success printing at speeds of 300mm/s on larger parts. Using a maximum of 20% part cooling yield excellent overhangs and even on a slick build plate I’m experiencing no noticeable warping. In fact my best print results seem to come off the slick side of the plate rather than the textured side.If I had to come up with a negative aspect to balance out all the praise I’m heaping on this filament, the only thing I’d be able to come up with is that the pigment used in the Marsala color will stay in your hot end for quite a while, and runs quite a bit when exposed to chemicals like CA glue or accelerator. But this is a very minimal issue as during changeover running about 100-150mm of cleaner filament (or whatever you’re changing to) will usually clear it out. For me this is really a nonissue since my parts are usually functional over aesthetic.

Low cost, strong, amazing surface finish

The ASA-CF is wildly impressive once dialed in.It needs to have HIGH extruder temps to get good layer adhesion, I'm printing at 285C vs like 250C for normal ASA.Once that was sorted, it prints like a dream and parts are light and strong with an amazing surface finish.

Love the black filament

used this to print parts for a Voron. the black Filament is super easy to print even on an Ender 3 inside a tent and prints even better inside the Voron.smell isn't as bad as other ASA filaments but still wouldn't want to hang around the printer while printing this filament.I also printed the Burnt Titanium filament and it's alot harder to print and get good results. any amount of moisture makes the part look dull with a rough surface I was also constantly battling poor layer adhesion. if you get the filament super dry and dial in the temps perfectly the prints look awesome but because of the flake in the filament it doesn't feel as strong as a regular black filament

DO NOT BUY THE BURNT TITANIUM ASA; BRITTLE AND HYGROSCOPIC

I bought this filament initially because I had a good experience with Burnt Titanium PLA from FF/Voxelab so I bought this one with the expectations of great quality with ASA qualities as well.In fact, I received this filament that is super brittle and absorbs moisture like no tomorrow. First image shows that when it just came out of the bag and it looks NOTHING like the burnt titanium I had received.I dried it and printed it the first time, and I didn't dry it enough.Second image was 12 hours of 70c drying temp tower, it was still disgusting looking and made spaghetti. After 48+ hours (I started it on friday afternoon, ended it monday evening), it looked really great 3rd pic shows the progression (I was testing it 12 hours in, 24 hours in, and 48+ hours in). The prints started to look good, and I was excited! Also after a day or so in indoor temperature with air condition, it was doing the same bubbly mess from the first image. The problem didn't stop, it was brittle as hell and layer adhesion was poor. I tested the filament printing 280c (upper limit of the FF AD5M Pro BTW) and it only started to get better then. I was severely disappointed with this filament and would not recommend anyone getting it.It sucks because we have a 2 more spools that are not opened that did not meet the quality that we were looking for. It's going straight to the bin, please avoid.

Prints well, but brittle

Strong, rigid, prints well. Just keep in mind it's brittle. Perfect for thicker structural parts, not for thin movable prints. A good filament to have around, but not for every printing situation.

Works

Works great on my P1S

Prints beautifully

ASA is my go to filament as many of my projects require strength, heat and UV resistance. However, sometimes it's too flexible but this product solves that issue. As with most fiber filled filaments it can clog so I advise a .6mm nozzle if your printer will support the flow.
