I ORIGINALLY Loved this Wine Opener: Very easy to screw into cork! I ordered August 1, 2018. Beginning in October, 2019 Gear teeth began to break off: Where you push down, to remove cork. Could not contact Deiss, email and phone number would not go thru! Look elsewhere, to purchase a Wine Opener!

This is a very poor corkscrew, you have to push the corkscrew down very firmly to get any kind of traction into the cork, it's almost as it it is blunt or defective, & it rips the cork to shreds in the process. I have tried it on two different bottles of wine & the corkscrew was terrible both times. A complete waste of money, i do not recommend this corkscrew at all.

This corkscrew is well made and put together, the size is about 1.5 times larger than most other corkscrews which I think makes it easier to use. I would of given 5 stars for the overall rating if it wasn't for the missing foil cutter

Screw does not penetrate cork. Waste of money. Tried it on different bottles - no good
