Works great. Reduced the heat in my car by 15 degrees..

I made some heat shields since both my turbos reside just over my exhaust manifolds. The adhesive works very well and it's easily cut to shape. I even used this to cover the metal pipes from the turbos to the air filters, it just required making a template in thin cardboard first to make all the requisite cuts to follow the curved tubes. My intake air temps are down significantly now, and in traffic my IAT's are indicating that i'm not getting as much heat soak- and once moving again, the temps drop much more quickly as my pipes are not absorbing nearly as much heat. This material is fantastic for insulating anything you wish to protect from heat.

I got this when I was installing a new microwave and convection oven in my 2004 Sea Ray 480 Sedan Bridge boat. The install location is in a cabinet. There was a similar microwave convection oven in the cabinet with no insulation. For the new install I decided for safety reasons it was necessary. In convection or air fry mode, the unit puts out heat. This product was perfect for that application. I didn’t give it 5 stars because it is not cheap and it came to me folded. It was creased where it was folded. It would be better if the product was rolled rather than folded.

My range and refrigerator are right next to each other. I replaced the range with a higher BTU model and the burner scorched the fridge. I needed to cover the scorch and also prevent further damage. This shield was the perfect solution. It came in one 12"x24" piece folded in half and the crease is visible...but I can live with that. I dressed it off with a 1/2" vinyl self sticking molding. Looks nice.

I installed this under my engine cover in my Coachmen Class A motorhome just before leaving on our trip from Florida to Missouri. In the past the heat coming off the engine fought with our cab ac and the noise drowned out the music. By lunch time when we stopped at the rest area just north of Tampa we were convinced it was much better and comfortable. By the end of the day in the Florida Panhandle we were truly impressed. It was another 90 degree day, but we were more comfortable than ever before. They said it would cut down the heat by 90%. I can't swear it did that, but when I put my hand on the side of the engine cover it only felt warm, not HOT! I was even more surprised by the sound deadening since the product is not very thick. It cut the noise by more than 50%. I highly recommend this product. It was easy to install as I cut it into 24 inch lengths and laid it on the inside of the cover. The top of the cover stayed cool with just the insulation from the factory. You might want 2 packages depending on your size you need to cover. I'm buying another one to do some additional sound deadening in other areas.

This product is cut from a large sheet and there are NO parallel or square sides. To make matters worse, it's not even cut to the specified dimensions. Also, as noted in other reviews, there is a very serious bend in the middle from the product being folded and smashed in the packaging.

The paint on my hood was blistering from engine heat. Installed this thermal heat shield on the underneath side of my hood and it stopped it cold in its tracks. Had the paint redone on the hood and now no problems. Excellent results! I'm very happy!

These heat shields are easy to apply, cut to size if needed, and they work fantastic to protect my walks from excessive heat from our small oven. I think they are easy to clean with a damp cloth. They look nice, like a professional installed them. We're happy with them.

Recently moved my generator into my new shed and created a trap door for the exhaust but I was concern with the heat coming from the exhaust. After reading the details on the product I was convinced...this is what I need. I cut the pieces to the dimensions I needed, peeled the backing off and voila! I did staple the corners for security and I feel extremely satisfied with its performance. Great product...works like it should!

We had a complete apartment including kitchen renovation that has an in cabinets wall mounted oven. After using at moderate (355F / 180C) temperatures the cabinets felt very very hot! Concerned that it would cause a fire hazard I looked online and found this insulation. Removed the stove from cabinet and insulated the walls, back wall and ceiling of the cabinet with the insulation. Installed the oven and we baked at (450F / 232C) the cabinet felt cool to the touch!!! Worked better than I hoped it would! I highly recommend this for insulation of heat transfer!

Used to provide heat shielding for a Diesel Heater in our Campervan. Easy install as the product is flexible and has effective self adhesive. Just the right thickness and reflects the heat very well. Very pleased with this product.
