These are amazing!
These are probably my favorite product I have in my smart home. I use them with Homey Pro and they have been extremely reliable. I have them on a schedule so I can set it and forget it, but if I want to alter the schedule, it’s just a Siri command or a button click away. You can also just pull on the curtain and it senses that you are trying to manually open or close it and it just takes over. They were easy to connect and they have stayed connected. The battery life is excellent. I only have to charge them once or twice a year at most. I don’t have to remove them to charge either. I just run the charger to them for a couple hours and they’re good to go. They hide behind the curtain, so no one even knows they exist, visually. They are strong and made well. They have multiple modes to control them. You can use the normal mode, which is really not that loud at all and then there’s a quiet mode too, if you want to open or close them while someone is sleeping. I’m very happy with these and would recommend them to everyone.

Easy to setup, work very well with Home/Siri, battery lasts a while
These definitely deserve a review! I love the Curtain Bots! Originally I ordered a pair of 4 to test out with each of my windows. They worked so well that I got another 4 just to have my curtains open up in the middle. Too bad you need a hub, but the hub is very much out of sight and easy to setup. Also helps that the bots don't need to clutter up my own wifi. Thread/Matter would have been 10x better. The hub also reports humidity and temperature for the room it's in which is a plus. The range of the hub tackles the entire 1300 sq ft apartment. I control the shades exclusively with Siri and the Home app. They respond within a second of requesting the command. For the month I've had these, the battery still reports full, awesome! These are a great value for home automation and recommend getting these when there's a sale.

No idea why it requires a hub to work with Alexa
I mean they work, no idea why they need a hub though. If they advertised more clearly that they needed a hub I would not have purchased and have since returned. You can buy a cheap $10 smart plug from china that doesn't require a hub. I don't want a hub for every smart item I buy, that's the whole point of an Alexa is to tie it all together....

Opens but won't close
This was a great idea however, the curtains doesn't close all the way. I've had to try all workarounds with no success. My son will be coming to visit soon - I'll see if he can get it working properly. If not I will be returning this product. So sad.I was contacted numerous times from this company. They truly worked with me to try and resolve this issue. They offered a refund and processed the refund immediately for one of the two I purchased. I am incredibly impressed by the level of customer service switchbot gave and their dedication to the smart home space. I will be getting more of their products in the future.

I want them to work, but that's not enough.
I want to like this product so much. I've purchased nine of them total for various windows in our house. They all started off mostly fine. We use them with curtain rods, which is how I imagine most people in the U.S. use them. The rods have to be a particular size and, while it says you can use them with an expandable rod (the kind that produces a "bump"), in my experience it struggles a LOT to go over the bump. I've tried the included metal tape sticker. I've tried duct tape and packing tap. None of those things seem to work. I never once got the magnet to work on any of them. I had to exchange two because they stopped charging. Now, about two years after purchasing the first one, almost none of them are still working. Most have totally lost connection with the timer and have to be manually opened and closed in the app. The plastic housing on one of them cracked and now no longer works at all. the "gentle tug" to open thing never really worked either. Like I said, I REALLY want these to work, but they just don't. I would not recommend them.

Overpriced. You Need Two. Not Sure It Was Worth It.
This would have been fine if it opened the curtain and closed it but one of these is only capable of opening and closing a single side of the curtain. Given that I have to say it's massively overpriced and I'm not sure installing it was worth it considering I now need a second one just to make the device fully function and open and close the entire curtain. As for the device itself - it seems alright. It does it's job well enough. Installation was a pain and I had to manually calibrate it.

I can finally access our hard-to-reach curtains.
Really cool and quite successful way to open curtains. The curtains we used these two (one for each side) on are hard to reach, and this device made it incredibly easy to get them open and closed.

LOVE THIS
I absolutely love this SwitchBot! It was easy to set up, is made of quality materials, and works perfectly. You can customize settings in the app and connect it with Alexa through their optional hub. The battery life is incredible, I haven’t charged it since I started using it (2 months). I have it set to open and close at specific times everyday.
