I bought this for my 5.4 triton v8, no cats,muffler, or resonator. I was honestly shocked by the quality and performance of the muffler since it was considerably smaller than the factory muffler, the welds were dimes to say the least, the motor itself is very responsive with every remote command, overall 10/10

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love this and my neighbors love it too. Car was very loud with no muffler. Bought this to control the loudness. Works phenomenal no leaks in the valve or motor. it brings the sound level to near stock when closed and of course is loud when open.

The media could not be loaded. The control for the exhaust was very responsive, after the video was taken i went to go get it welded on and it was easy to install the wiring. The quality is pretty good. It functioned as I expected and surpassed my expectations on how well it helps with the sounds. It will please my neighbors when I turn on my 1999 Tahoe 5.7L V8 in the mornings and not hear it roar at 5 am.

The media could not be loaded. I would like to start off by sharing my experience with cutouts. These electric cutouts are unique in design and function unlike any other. I advise against purchasing vacuum cutouts as they require the vehicle to be on when installed. However, with these electric cutouts, you can use a remote or wire switch to change the exhaust from glass pack to straight pipe even when the vehicle is not running. The welding seems of high quality for the price it’s absolutely sealed and the metal has a nice chrome look, making it solid and one of the best products I've seen so far.I have a 1999 Chevy Tahoe with a 5.7 it does not have catalytic converters, so I will be doing a video for anybody reading my review seeing how loud it is without cats! The 3 Inch Electric Exhaust Cutout with Muffler by Peastorm, is a fun way to get that straight pipe sound at the push of a button. It’s solidly built with surprisingly good quality, a decent muffler and an easy to use remote controlled valve. The muffler is of generic origin as far as I can tell and doesn’t have the beautiful tones of a name brand instrumental mufflers. However, if you don’t care about having a particular muffler sound and just need a generic muffle with these abilities, then this might be a great choice. The rest of the set-up including the welds and connections are actually really nice and should offer a good service life.You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

So, I saw the feedback - either Positive - or just garbage from other's who had bought prior. I really only needed this to tone down a system that was high-end Stainless "it was a little Barky" - I saw the Vacuum systems ones and didn't not want this type, so I thought I would try this. The pictures in other posts looks like the unit is well made. It is - high quality materials - very happy with open the box first impressions. However the Box was not designed for shipping it should be better, or extra boxed Amazon is using original boxing, and should not, the tubing cut through the box. I was a little worried - but no issues. One thing to note - the tubing is 3" so you need a clamp for this or direct but weld. Most mufflers the inlet outlet is oversized to receive 3" tubing - this is not the case. I bought high-end lap clamp - not thin ones. The funny thing is this muffler in the Open Position - still knocked down the sound - it actually eliminates the Drone I had, kind-of why I wanted something - makes sense though as the noise has a place to bounce in the bypass muffler. So far very Pleased if it fails you can pull the pin on the actuator and leave it open if needed. A good buy in my book...NOTE: I never had any issues with Fiberglass - - I have no clue - who puts their face to a tailpipe...

I deleted the rear muffler on my 2017 f150 with the 5.0 in it and was looking for something to be able to quite it down when i start it at night. I installed this a week ago and it has been doing fantastic since. I wasn’t sure if it would be able to quite down my truck being the new muffler is considerably smaller than the old but it makes it near stock in volume.
