Simple and Effective
Simple pipe with hard rubber ridges to help numb the pain of my heal pain is exactly the function of this product and is what I needed. There is no noise level nor is it hard to roll on carpet or tile. The fit of it it very universal and gave room to even massage surrounding or the entirety of my bottom foot. So far it's very durable and no complaints, would recommend.

I just bought my second one!
I bought this to help treat my plantar fasciitis. I was hopeful that it would help, but I did not expect dramatic results. There are a lot of products out there that claim to help, but I am dubious about many of them. This simple roller really seems to work! I have been using it for a week now and have noticed significant lessening of the pain in my foot. I find that it works better than a small ball because it is easier to control. The raised nubs also really help to massage your foot and heel. The product feels solid so I imagine it will last a long time. I was so pleased, I just bought a second one to use at the office (although it is small and light enough to throw into your backpack). I will certainly be taking it with me on vacation as well.

Least expensive and best hands-free plantar fasciitis treatment option
For reference I tried the boots and a massage ball thing. The ball moves around too much to use seated at a desk hands-free. The boots put pressure points on the bottom of my feet and they're obviously difficult to sleep in; they also just didn't feel like they were doing much. This roller thing works amazingly well. I can use it while seated at my desk; it stays in place enough to use without having to touch it with your hand. You can dig in with different parts of your foot. And, for my plantar fasciitis, my biggest issue was that it needed to be stretched out. It's funny because this is by far the least expensive option and it worked the best.To fix my plantar fasciitis all I did was wear Nike Air Max shoes in the house at all times combined with Dr.Scholl's Plantar Fasciitis Pain Relief Orthotics inserts. When I'm at my desk working I take off a shoe and roll my foot out for a few minutes at a time with this roller. That's it. Before I started I was limping bad and had trouble walking; I was in significant pain. After a few hours on the FIRST DAY I saw a huge improvement (it hurt to massage out, but in a good way). By day 3 of following this routine my pain was now minor enough to no longer be a huge issue. I did not take any medications (I cannot take NSAIDS).I got into this situation by not wearing shoes on my tile floor or using my sandals. I'm in a hot climate, so I tend to fall into this habit. Don't do it if you're prone to plantar fasciitis; it's not worth it. Just keep wearing your shoes and try to roll your feet out and stretch them as often as is feasible.

I'm now a believer
I have suffered on and off with plantar fasciitis for years. I have taken meds, paid for orthodics, gotten shots in my heels, purchased new boots too often, even replaced my insoles every 6 months, all of that made little to no difference and cost sheet tons of money. My doctor told me to stretch my arch by rolling a ball or can, and to not let my foot touch the floor in the morning before stretching or in a supportive shoe. Of course I'm stubborn and thought it was wives tale BS that stretching would make a difference. Well after all else failed and many years of stupidly self inflicted agony, I broke down and spent $10 on this simple roller. I started stretching my arch by sitting on the side of the bed first thing in the morning and putting slight pressure on the roller over my arches about 20 times back and forth on each foot. It takes about 3 whole minutes a morning. Then I put on my house shoes and walk through my morning routine. Well I'm here to tell you, I was a fool for thinking this simple roller and that simple short technique not change everything. I'm astounded at how effective this roller is. This one is made of quality plastic material and has enough texture to assist with rolling the foot and massaging the arch. It rolls straight and it doesn't seem to walk side to side uncontrollably which I can imagine how a lessor design might do, and that could be frustrating to use. This is easy to use, takes very little time and is far more effective than other methods. If you suffer from a similar problem, get this and do that. You won't regret it at all.
