As expected it was expensive but good

These are great value for money, but are bitter than 70% which is obvious I guess. Bit to dark for me to snack on, I'm sure they'll be got sprinkled on foods.

I love the crunch and bitterness of cocoa nibs. I add it to smoothies. This one is quite coarse, but not terribly so. A great deep but not bitter taste to it.

Bought these to make my own chocolate from raw nibs, roasted to desired level and ground into a paste, they tasted amazing in dark or milk chocolate !

This is the first time I have bought raw cacao. Its been on my wishlist for ages, but they are quite expensive, but finally took the plunge. To be honest I wasnt sure what to expect.This is a good bag full. The nibs look a little like chocolate curls. BUT be warned they taste nothing like chocolate if you eat them straight out of the bag, much to my daughters shock and disappointment! They are a strong almost raw coffee bean taste! So initally I was a little disappointed, and wasnt sure what to do next....I have, however, turned my opinion around. I have been adding them to homemade protein balls, for me and the kids. And they are very nice. There are loads of reported benefits, including high antioxidants, high magnesium, so I am keen to keep using. I will be adding them to puddings and smoothies, but the protein balls are a real hit.If you found this helpful, please click yes.
