Q: Does the bottom of the strainer come off for easier cleaning?

How do you clean the coffee strainer filter. I read that putting coffee grinds down the drain is not a good idea. Is it fairly easy to clean out?

Q: Did the coffee maker jug come with instructions? My box did not include any directions.

No instructions. TikTok taught me. Lol. It’s 1 cup of any coffee - doesn’t have to be cold brew - and then you fill it to the top with water. I like to let it steep in the fridge for 12 hours. It makes it medium/regular strength. When I’m done steeping, I remove the filter and top the jar off with cold water. Ready to serve!

Depending on your needs, the general ratio of water to coffee grounds is 1:11-16. Put it in the refrigerator for more than 12 hours for cold brewing, if you like a strong taste, you can increase the proportion of coffee grounds. Or look online for a ratio that suits you better.

Q: How long does the coffee last before you should dump it?

I think this depends on personal preference. I drink the coffee all week and it tastes great to me. Just keep it in the fridge and have iced coffee whenever you want. A full pitcher lasts me about 4 or 5 days and then I make a new one
