Dimex Office Chair Mat for Low Pile Carpet, 46" x 60", Clear

I recently got a new desk and decided a new desk mat was in order as the old one had paint and glue and such stuck to it. this fits the full length of the desk and is wider than my previous mat so no more hung wheels and when I drop something, it will be much easier to find lol. This came rolled up, but once I got it unrolled it stayed down. this was the perfect piece to my craft room refresh!

These two chair mats worked way better than I thought they would, when they arrived rolled up. Took only 2 hours to soften up, and lay flat. Been doing the job well ever since.

I got a new chair and replaced the standard wheels with the larger rollerblade style wheels to make it work better on the very short carpet in my recording studio. But the wheels still didn't help so I grabbed this.It still isn't as smooth as it would be on hard floor or the carpeting you'd see in a normal office, but it is at least better than nothing.Real pain to unroll initially, but once that was done (would've helped if I had someone else helping at that time) and I had weights on it overnight, it stayed flat and held the new shape.Smell though - really has a strong smell that even three or four days later I'm noticing when not even entering the room, but just walking down the hallway past it. Hopefully that will fade.

We wanted a hard surface in carpet, but read the issues with cracking and breaking, so opted for this "firmer" one on carpet. A little difficult for one person. My husband and I moved the desk out, placed the mat, then replaced the desk. So far, it seems to work well and show chairs to roll.

I bought two of these in 2022. One of them started getting cracks and holes (fine with me given it's been 3.5-4 years) so I ordered one to replace it. The new one smells like a skunk. We smelled something indistinguishable from a skunk and thought one had passed by outside (we're on the 3rd floor of a townhouse). No skunk smell outside, so we figured it must've gotten into the room and it'll leave soon. Days later, smell had only gotten worse. We then had a professional cleaner come by to clean the house (4 days ago). The smell was gone from the room where the mat was sitting. Later that day, it came back. Again, it's only gotten worse since then. It's been driving me nuts trying to figure out where the smell was coming from. I started crawling on the ground attempting to locate the source... it's the floor mat! I've had this new floor mat for about 10 days. If it doesn't go away soon, I'm going to have to return it. If the seller sees this, please advise me on how I can get the smell off the floor mat.

Started cracking very fast. I only weigh 130 lbs and it started cracking a few months in with moderate use. Few years in and it’s unusable. Look for a better brand.

I've had this mat for a year now. I sit in my desk chair for 10 -11 hour shifts and have found this mat has held up very well. It is not cracking or dented from the chair rollers. I love that I can barely see it and it doesn't cover the pretty carpet underneath. It is not scuffed or scratched.My only negative comment is how hard it was to unroll. The mat comes tightly rolled up and it took 4 days for me to unroll it. I had a very hard time unrolling it by myself. It is heavy, not flexible and has pointy spikes on the back side. I used paint cans to weigh it down and did it in one-foot sections. I kept moving the paint cans across the mat until it was slowly unraveled and flattened. A lot of work but it was worth it once it was completed.

My new extra large and extra heavy office chair needed a larger and heavier chair mat, so after some research, I ordered this in the 46x60 size. It's perfect: very solid, and large enough to roll around in the chair without falling off the edge, which had happened with a standard sized mat. After reading the reviews, I was concerned about the problems others had described getting it to flatten out after coming out of the box. While it did take two of us (smaller women) to initially get it unrolled and weighted down (with kitchen stools and some boxes of books), within 5 hours it was largely flat, and I was able to flip it over by myself and weighed it down on the other side over night. After that, it was flat and easy to put in place.
