Delicious Whole30 Diet Lifesaver • Salad Dressing Recipe in Review!
I'm a very picky eater who found myself doing a Whole30-like diet (but more strict because I cannot eat nightshades) after being diagnosed with intestinal inflammation. This is one of the foods I can eat and I am so glad I ordered it! Tahini is a food I was not at all familiar with before but it is DELICIOUS! I use it with coconut aminos (in place of soy sauce) to make Asian style salad dressings. It has a peanutbutter kind of flavor but is more runny. Still, you could use it in place of peanut sauce in recipes or as a dipping sauce. Again, I am a picky eater who refuses to eat at most restaurants/fast food places and I loved the flavor of this tahini! If you are struggling through a Whole30 diet, this tahini is a great way to add something flavorful to help combat food exhaustion. Mine arrived double sealed with both an internal foil seal and a seal on the outer plastic lid so there was no leakage whatsoever. I had envisioned receiving an oil-stained Amazon box because I was shipping this item to Houston during the summer and thought the heat would cause the product to separate and the oil to leak. It didn't do that at all. It didn't even separate. I made salad dressing for my husband, who is not on the same Whole30 diet, which he devoured and wanted me to make the salad for dinner again. Here is the Tahini Dressing recipe I used:1/4 cup TahiniJuice from 1/2 large lemon (or entire small lemon)1 Tbsp Bragg's apple cider vinegar2 Tbsp coconut aminos (in place of soy sauce)1/2 tsp saltFew twists of the pepper grinder (about 1/8 tsp fresh cracked black pepper)I blended all of this together and then served over a salad of spinach, grilled chicken or steak, green onions and cashews. Hubby practically licked the plate clean!

Delicious!!
So.. after getting the original one, and loving it so much, I got this one to try. I couldn't recall much difference in taste, but I did my experimenting cooking, and I can say that this Tahini goes great for cooking, baking. Consistency is so creamy, that it makes it so easy to cook. Then the other one i'm just easting straight out of the jar and use for hummus, salads dressing, dips and etc.If you kitchen guru as I am, get both! And yes of course, I have to add how super yummy and healthy it is!

The good stuff is life-changing!
I am newly obsessed with using tahini in desserts. Pepperwood's tahini is now my only tahini. It's so rich and sublime. Has a slightly viscous consistency, easy to be thinned down for salad dressing or mixed into thicker concoctions. Next recipe on deck: Homemade Tahini Oreos! "The good stuff is life-changing, but not always easy to find in the states." – So true, so true! Purchased both the stone-ground whole and regular, love them both! BTW, don't miss the halvah. I found it to be moist and luscious with that mysterious flaky/pastry texture. So far beyond the general grocery store product. If you've never had halvah, let this one be your first.

Good stuff!
This is good stuff! I tried this after trying the stone ground tahini by pepperwood. This version is less bitter, but both are very tasty. My favorite way to use it is as a topping/drizzle over veggie/grain bowls. I use this product everyday and try to incorporate it into every meal! It's very useful to have on hand as a source of fiber, protein and healthy fats. You can use it in baking, a spread, or a dip for fruit and veggies. Perfect for people who don't like very sweet things

When you get something for you mother and she raves about it, it great!! My mom at the young age of 75 is really starting to want organic and have healthier choices. She loves all the different spreads. So I thought she might like this. She loves it. At first she was not sure about how thin is was, but a little bit is all you need. She likes to use it as a dip at nite or on her toast in the morning. She was really pleased with the texture and taste. Very pleased with this purchase.

Pepperwood Organic Stone-Groun Tahini
Just sesame. No palm kernel oil! This tahini has a lovely smokey flavor which is very satisfying. The texture is very smooth, very liquid, which blended easily into the mashed chick peas I used for making homemade hummus. I might like it a little more solid. For better nutrition, stone ground sesame is better because the natural oils are not overheated, and so remain more digestible. I don't know how 'authentic' this tahini is, but I like the wholesomeness and, of course, it tastes great.

Flavor is good, fresh
Flavor is good, fresh, however it is VERY runny, even after being in the fridge you can just pour it out of the jar, makes my hummus a little softer consistency than I like but just have to put in less oil which is okay. Good produce if you don't mind the thinness.
