Fresh Coffee, but easier
The coffee grinder is easy to use, but the amount of ground coffee (when set at six cups, medium grind) tends to be way too much, more like 8-10 cups. The coarseness of the grind is adjusted by a round knob, found on the side of the unit (I only tried setting all controls before I turned the power on), with another knob, with which you set the number of cups required.Another button, on the top middle, turns the grinder on. It doesn't matter how many beans too many you load in, the grinder will only grind enough for 'six' cups (8-10 in our house) and then turn itself off automatically. Easy. The grinder will not work without the lid being clipped in, keeping fingers safe. The ground coffee is collected in a lidded tray, which slides out. It's quite loud in use and durability is in the 'we'll see' folder, for now.Well done to the Amazon delivery peoples for delivering on the same day as I ordered it! Thankyou.

Great value
Solid machine.I moved to gridding my own beans for a mocha pot and this was a good price. This is my second one - the first lasted 10 years with daily grind and I only replaced it because it got wet.Might not grind enough for espresso experts but just great for me.Is noisy when grinding though - but a full hopper takes 10 seconds.

It's worth reading - I'm explaining a significant problem.
It's worth reading - I'm explaining a significant problem.De'Longhi KG79 coffee grinder is a decent, cheap electric grinder. They grind coffee quite evenly. The finest grind is absolutely sufficient for me. I don't know if every copy grinds the same. If someone wants to get flour, they say that this grinder can be readjusted. Unfortunately, this requires a bit of disassembly (there's a video on YouTube). Before buying, I read the comments and they repeat the fault of the main switch - new grinders don't start. Mine didn't start either. However, I didn't believe that I also got a faulty copy and I took a closer look at the grinder. What did I discover? It turned out that these grinders have a certain design imperfection. There is a safety switch under the top cover, which turns the grinder off when the cover is lifted. Unfortunately, the design of this mechanism is flawed. When closing the cover, it often catches on the switch, gets stuck and doesn't close. The cover remains slightly raised and the grinder doesn't start. Therefore, when closing the cover, you need to pay attention to whether it has entered its place, lowered all the way down. With a little practice, this should not be a problem, but you need to pay attention to it. I am sure that this is why many people have considered the new grinder to be damaged. This is a small flaw, but it is there. The second problem with this device is the electrified casing. And I consider this flaw to be the worst. From what I know, this is a problem with many grinders.I have not noticed any other flaws. But because of the electrified plastic, this grinder only gets four stars from me. If not for this, it would be five stars and I would be absolutely satisfied.

it will not do the job it was made for.
its not worth the time people put into makeing it.its prime job is to grind coffee evenly, it cant do that i have tryed everything, basicly the puck just does not work well.add to that the so called safety feature which i had to fiddle around with the coffee container part to work.everytime i want to use it.this thing is useless and frustrating to use.

Works Well When You Get To Know It.
Simple basic and easy to use. The grind adjustment needs a few goes to get the grind you require. Have put a label on the grinder to remind me the settings I use. Single press to start with auto finish depending on the cup setting selected. Easy to clean, I use a soft brush after each use.
