These have been great! I keep 1 in my truck so I can keep my phone charged in the mount, and not have to deal with dangling wires when it's not plugged in. I keep the other in my work bag so I have it wherever I go. It seems to be built well, and has already outlasted many other retractable cords I've used in the past. The interchangeable tips work great, and I have used all 3 successfully. It even supports fast charging on my Motorola phone. Highly recommended!2019 update: I've still got all 4 of these I've bought over the years. The only one that has anything wrong with it is a slightly bent tip on one from my wife hopping out of the truck with it still attached to her phone. It only bent it though, no breaks, the retractable part still works, and it still charges my phone. Best retractable cords ever!

I love the design of this, especially the inertia reel but the USB-C connection is not good. I noticed when I first received them that the USB-C attachment for my Galaxy phone was almost too small. I had to force it into the charging port; both cables that came in a pack were like that. Now it only makes intermittent connection in the car. For example, if I'm using the cable with Android auto, the phone will disconnect for seemingly no reason and it turns out the problem is this cable. The charging cable that came with the phone doesn't do that plus it has a satisfying "click" feel to let you know it's plugged in. These cables do not.It's a fantastic design and the price would be more than fair of it worked right. Returned:(Update: I bought another set of these from a different manufacturer with only the USB-C connection. The new ones charge well at home and in the car except when attached to the head unit for Android Auto it intermittently disconnects. The factory cord that came with my Samsung Galaxy S8 has no issues so the aftermarket cords are the problem.

Avoid if you need USB C. The wire and rolling mechanism work fine, and the micro USB and Lightning connectors seem to work fine. Unfortunately the USB C connector is cheaply made and such a loose fit in my Samsung Galaxy 8 that it does not make enough contact to charge or make a data connection. If you need USB C, you are better off purchasing a retracting cable with that feature, or if you also need micro USB, getting in your base cable and buying a good USB C adapter for a couple of bucks.This gets three stars for a good idea which was executed well, but missed the mark by trying to add USB C capability and failing.

It says suppose to charge iPhone too - but my iPhone won’t charge on this

Beware, if you put one adapter over another, it’s like sticking two flat LEGOs together. You can’t pull them apart (well I can’t anyway). The retractable mechanism is kind of gigantic (like 2 inches across) but works just fine.
