LogitechUnifying Receiver, 2.4 GHz Wireless Technology, USB Plug Compatible with all Logitech Unifying Devices like Wireless Mouse and Keyboard, PC / Mac / Laptop - Black

I was a little skeptical about this device because my Dell laptop (Windows 11) is recent but my Logitech keyboard is a K520, probably 7 or 8 years old (with the Unifying symbol). The instructions that came with the receiver are a little cryptic and the Logitech link provided for the software download did not work for me. However, I googled a little and did find a CNET download that took me through the process step by step. It works! And I can still use my older mouse (non-Unifying) with its own receiver.

Works perfectly!! Plugged it into my windows 11 PC and my keyboard and mouse started working immediately and without effort. To the person who complained that the he could not understand the instructions because they were in Chinese....uh...they are in the universal language (see pix)...and they are simple: step 1: plug into your computer, step 2: download the app.

Worked perfectly! Once I downloaded the software required on my PC while the USB was connected to my PC, it worked with no issues at all. I’ve seen that it’s not automatically known that in order to use this USB, you first need to download the software on your PC and install it while the USB is connected. This installs the software onto the USB so it can allow it to connect to whatever device the USB is connected to. But this is definitely the only way it works because it didn’t work at all until I followed those directions.

I am very disappointed. I have a fairly new Logitech keyboard (K520) and Mouse (M310), purchased barely a year ago and this receiver did not work on either of them. I tried plugging it into three different computers, all of which use Logitech wireless mice or keyboard, so they all have Logitech software installed already. I also tried it on my Logitech trackball mouse (M570) and an older mouse (also an M310) - nothing.I've been using Logitech products for at least 15 years and have never had a problem with any of their products. I still have Logitech speakers purchased in 2007 and they work as well as they did when new.I'll change this review if I can get it to work.Edit to add: I tried downloading the Logitech unifying software at least six times, it failed every time.I then attempted to get a refund for my $10.60 or a new receiver and it appears I have to return the item, which entails either paying $7.99 for pick-up (leaving me with a refund of $2.61) or take it to a drop off location. All locations are at least 30 minutes away from me - I am a disabled shut-in and don't drive. If getting to a store was easy, I would have gone out and bought a receiver and not have had to wait three days for it. I am also not about to waste someone else's time and gas to have them drop it off for me.After hours of trying to get the receiver to work, I am still very disappointed.

Quick shipping as promised and works like a charm. My only complaint was lack of written instructions for how to pair it with the existing mouse (I left my original dongle behind at an event). It took me awhile to figure it out - at first I thought it wasn't working. The little pictures were confusing and I didn't even realize they were "instructions" at first.

I was nervous at first since I hadn’t touched my mouse in 12 years, but the instructions in the reviews helped. I couldn’t download the unifying software on my MacBook Pro but I tried another method and downloaded the Logi Options+ software straight off the Logitech website and that worked. I forgot my laptop doesn’t have a USB port anymore but hubby gave me an adapter and it worked! I’m hoping this will help ease my arthritis while I go back to school. I will say that it doesn’t fit in the storage slot of my Logitech Anywhere MX mouse (bummer), but that’s not a big deal.

As I work from home, I needed to buy a second one of these in order to use the keyboard and mouse I had for my work laptop. Suffice to say that it synced up immediately, and I am a very happy camper.
