I bought these to mail out 11" x 8.5" and under homeschool curriculum (books and workbooks). They are nice and sturdy but not too heavy, and if you somehow misalign the top flap to the mailer, it is not coming off- great adhesion ;) ! I put them inside a lightweight plastic mailer bag, and got good reviews on my shipping, too.
