Q: Does this work on a 1200 watt amp?

Yes and love it. I used it with my 1600W Pioneer GM-D8601 amp. Note: It is a large size cap so make sure you have room to mount it close to the amp - best place to mount caps.

Q: I have a kicker 2400 watt amp and two kicker comp 15s my lights are dimming and there killing my battery. Would this help with my problems?

This should do you fine. This capacitor is rated up to 3500 watts

Q: Can you leave the capacitor wired up to the battery?

Yes it’s designed to stay wired up at all times. The remote wire is for the display power.

Works great!

I run a jl audio w7v3 with a mono block amp and whenever I would hit hard bass my lights would dim and my car would ding followed my my cluster saying low voltage. After installing this capacitor not only does my battery keep up but no more dimming of lights or cluster lights and the the bass hits way harder since my amp doesn't clip out!!!Used this in my bmw 535i E60
