They are see-through which is cool because I can see under it. They seem solid and the notches seem accurate enough.

I found these instruments useful for making preliminary construction diagrams, being reasonably sturdy, and accurate, and would make a good set of instruments for high school, or undergraduate university math/science students.

I was using one of the triangles for the first time today, and I noticed something really strange. The inches are divided into TENTHS. That's really strange and not at all normal. Inches should be divided into EIGHT or SIXTEENTHS. I also used one of the rulers and it was divided correctly. Go figure...
